Game Center CX thread.
I have only just started watching this show since a couple days ago, but have seen how popular it is. I absolutely wish i got into it sooner.
General fan thread i guess?
I would help this thread get started if I wasn't just about to go to bed.
But good fucking luck, /v/ is in full shitpost mode right now.
>>320245968
Is it ever not?
>>320246052
I guess that's a given, yeah.
Also, remember that /vr/ always has a slow as molasses GCCX thread that isn't going anywhere if you're really looking for somewhere to talk about the Kacho.

Ah, i didn't know this. Thanks anon.
I watch it sporadically. On season 8 right now, Quest of Ki episodes were the best
watched all episodes, some episodes are really frustating to watch, they make super mario world look like fucking impossible when it's one of the easiest game ever then the fucker proceed to actualy beat ghost & goblins
oh also OP, do you know of tokyo encounter?
http://bakuhatsubutsu.livejournal.com/7835.html
I stopped watching it after the great purge they did on youtube. Where are the episodes hosted now?
I fucking miss all those threads, the cambodia episode was still the best

www.gamingcx.com

http://vaughnlive.tv/hawk7713
>>320248060
Castlevania III was soul crushing
>>320248001
Is it just me or is the stream down right now?
>>320248257
umm, no, it's not just you
not sure if this is temporary or permanent, i haven't checked the stream in like 3 month to be honest
>>320248220
Still better than Adventure Island.
>>320248359
It was online a couple of days ago, weird.
KACHOU
NO BONUS
>>320248406
They could at least complete Adventure Island, sort of, because urakawa took 3 days and was kinda like a "backstage" thing..
For castlevania III they had to cheat, plain and simple.
Best episode coming through
>>320248625
I laughed so much at that ep
for me the best GCCX episode are the one where
- the game he's playing it's japan only
- the game he's playing is hard as fuck, like actualy hard, not just jobbing
- the game he's playing is just plain weird
for these reason i recomend these episode
>Atlantis No Nazo
this game has to be beated without EVER dying, this is the first episode of the series and it's one of the most intense
>Ghost & Goblins
not really one of the best since it's a well know retro game but it's interessing as one of the hardest game he challenged
>Takeshi Castle
this game is played with the old man equivalent of the wii fit board, watch as an old japanese man destroy his body for no real reason
>the 2 ultraman fighting game
i love these 2 episode but i can't tell you why without ruining it, just watch them
>Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2
ditto like ghost & goblins
>The Quiz Episodes
these are fun because arino sucks at general culture so he ask his other staff to help him with the answer and they always turn into a team effort
>Mighty Bomb Jack
this is the first long challenge in the season, he challenged this game for several episode then finaly beat to a live audience it's very silly to watch
>Quest of Ki
like bomb jack but even worse, this one took even longer
>lemmings
also in the same category
>North Trip
this is an hilarious episode where arino travel the northern part of japan which is pretty much a desolate snowland that contain nothing but he trudge searching for as many arcade he can finds
>Shiren The Wanderer
ok i'm biased, i only like this episode because shiren the wanderer is one of my most favourite game
>Paris Dakar Rally
this is the most absurd game on the NES i know off, it has to be seen to be believed, you'd never think a game with such a boring title could be so hilariously stupid
>Battle Golfer Yui
also a good episode in the "weird" department
>Transformer
this game is so fucking unfair it's completly possible to game over in 1 fucking minute
The rare occasions when he genuinely enjoys western games are neat.
Derby Stallion was my favourite episode.
anyone have those cambodia gifs with the disc breaking just by touching it
>>320249132
It's definitely one of the best, even though you wouldn't think that from the game.
>>320247880There's some on Youtube, stlll.
>>320247670
Never heard of it, sorry.
>>320247880
sa-gccx
has downloads of every episode through season like 12ish that isn't on the DVD they released over here
The newer seasons have some episodes still not subtitled yet, but they're working on it
Watching the recently (re-) subbed Konami episode from the first season was pretty bittersweet. Those were better, innocent times.

two popular japanese VA (one does the voice for gintoki from gintama and ragna in BB, the other has done voice for hazama in BB and fei long in SF4) play a bunch of random game (usualy they open with neo geo stuff in the opening and then pick between random retro games, some really weird game like kuma uta and/or more recent western games), have talk about other VA, do videogame sketches (can you place all the SF2 character in their right place in the character select screen?) and invite other VA (usualy they promise female VA to put "cute games" for them just to pull off western zombie games like left for dead)
i found it a really good alternative to GCCX while waiting for more episode to get translated, i always shill the show whenever GCCX get brought up
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2meaKpgEaXkIt hurts to watch.
>>320249081
Him enjoying a game as much as he enjoyed Battletoads was just rare in general.
They haven't really done many Western games, have they? More than a hundred episodes and probably less than a dozen have been western games and they act like they are novelties.
I remember one episode where they go into a store that has western games and he has fun playing some of them and asks if God of War I think it was can be used for the show.
Is that really what it's like in Japan? If you want to get your hands on a game that was not made by a Japanese developer, even stock standard titles, you have to go to a special store because they are niche products?
>>320250047
Ah that's pretty cool. I will give it a watch sometime! However,i am downloading all 17 seasons of GCCX... So i have stuff to keep me busy!
>>320250240
It does... Although Iwata didn't really make a lot of good impressions in his last years, it's still sad to see a great man gone.
>>320250309
I can't imagine it's too different to how we view Japanese games over here. The general populous of gamers over here aren't going to be interested in a Japanese game. So i can assume it's the same over there. I can't see many Japanese gamers running out to buy Forza Horizon 2, or Just Cause 3.
