LiS doesn't do a good job of giving the feeling of "oh shit what i do matters"
You can actually go back and redo any decision in the game. Whatever involvement the player has in the story is meaningless, and easily overwritten.
Game design fundamentally uses limitation to manipulate experiences. LiS doesn't really have any limitations that would make the story more compelling (i.e. limiting the time rewind ability like in sands of time - a shit game that one was, but has that sort of limit) I'd much prefer locking onto some type of storyline if I've progressed beyond a point so I can't just infinitely go back in time.
The music also irks me. The writing in the game also sucks.

characters look like its out of modded sims 3.
only good thing I have to say about LiS is that I enjoyed the lighting in a lot of the scenes.
