Solid mechanics and it's pretty enjoyable if you actually take the time to learn it. Characters are really varied as well.
The whole "rock paper scissors" thing is really blown out of proportion by people who most likely only played it for an hour and kept getting their ass handed to them by holds. There's plenty of hold safe combos and a big part of the game is baiting holds from your opponent and punishing them. That sad, it is pretty ass when you lose a match because you know someone was just mashing hold and got insanely lucky.
It's not the best 3D fighter but it's more competent than people give it credit for. I personally likeSCVmore.

While it was a passable game and not an unenjoyable shit like 4, the fact that it's split across 2 versions (LR is Ultimate, shut up), 5 platforms with two being subscription-based and one having fuck all for support, it's hard to settle down and play it
