Don't get me wrong I like Francis York Morgan as much as the next guy but in some games you need retard stronk MCs. I don't think York has gary stu powers, so he doesn't qualify for games like MGR and Asura's Wrath.

He captured York's oddness really well.
I really liked Deadly Premonition, but getting time to pass was a real chore.
Like, I know I could have found a place to sleep a dozen hours, but when there's 2 days until the next story-event I run out of patience.
The charm of the town cannot keep me invested while I have to kill 48 hours of meaningless side-quests while scarfing down food.
Beyond that, I like the atmosphere and the plot as a whole. It played the best when it was a detective story with a slight paranormal twist, and worst when it tried to go full Silent Hill.

Yeah but that shit rapes your food-meter. I remember finding the most efficient thing being having a smoke right outside the diner. Then just repeating that for as long as I can get away with it.
Still, I know this was suppose to create immersion, but it left me way too much time to focus on the negative.
The game was fine when there was stuff happening, and York was being crazy, and there was a plot at all.
However, whenever the game pulled the plug on all that, I started noticing a lot more annoyances than I did otherwise.
