MN9 also looks just as I expected it would. I don't understand all the hate for it. What they fuck were people expecting when it was advertised as a megaman clone and it looks like we're gonna get a megaman clone.
Also he's done a extremely good job was Soul Sacrifice Delta. That is one thing most people here would never get to play because it's vita exclusive.

Honestly this guy behind a game makes me feel like I'm going to see what future games are going to be about, but in a good way.

I didn't know much about him so I had no reason to like or dislike him.
I knew he worked on Megaman but I'm smart enough to realize that the game was the result of many people and not just him

Considering how far removed MN9's gameplay is from Megaman I'd say the same applies here as well. They are both platformers and that's where the similarities begin and end. MN9 was designed for speed running and epic utube videozzz. Megaman was designed to be a challenging and fun platformer with good and complex level design.
I was never excited for MN9 and I never liked MM that much anyway. But I respect him for designing Soul Sacrifice.

In terms of pure gameplay, maybe. Even then it copies several core ideas like earning new weapons from bosses based on their abilities.
But in terms of characters/concepts/premise, MN9 may as well be uncanny chinese bootleg Megaman.
