I played the game myself (after watching bits and piece of my brother play it). I don't regret playing it at all.

Love the game, its my favorite game of the past few years honestly. Coinflip fanbase with one side being decent, but the other a cesspool of total faggots that somehow get more noticed then the decent shit. Then again, that seems to be the case in a lot of games.
As for the Gamefaq poll, I'll admit, I never played OOT, but I'm pretty sure the only reason undertale got past Mario 64 was due to recent hype.

It's an average indie game overhyped to hell because of its droves of furry fanatic audience.
It's just the flavor of a few months just like FNaF.
The game itself is really shallow and is just an easy Earthbound hack at its core.
There are specks of story thrown around, but being deep is really due to the over analysis of it's deluded fans.

It's really not, and it never will be, because Undertale lacks something very important that autism magnets like homestuck, mlp, and sonic all have: continuous new content to fuel the fire. If Toby stops with that Overture project he's working on, the fanbase will die. It won't happen immediately, but it will happen. Finished works always cause interest to die down gradually.

I like a few tracks in Undertale but the OST's reliance on faux-retro soundfonts really just makes it sound like the composer was too lazy to find something that sounded better. It's no coincidence that all the best tracks in the game don't use 8bit instrumentation at all.
