ITT: Underrated level themes.
I'll start. Bright, colorful futuristic cities.
I don't think that's an underrated theme as much as an underused one.
For underused, I'd say beehive.
For underrated, maybe swamp because I usually enjoy them where most people don't.

Not in a sense of "oh shit you have to get out now" but you're just casually hanging out in a burning forest or building.

That's a good one. What are some theme-park levels? I can only think of the one from Super Mario Sunshine and some parts of Operation 002 of W101.
Comic book levels.
I've always been fond of levels that take place on some sort of large ship like a battleship or shipping boat. Not sure why though

The one in DKCTF was pretty rad. Two levels ago it was bustling and then its in flames. It's a pretty interesting mood change and the music is fucking melancholic as fuck.
