It's... it's over already.
I log in today and suddenly we were back on Earth.
How did that happen? This morning we were still en route to the Sun.
I guess it's reflection time.
February 16, 2009 Noby Noby Boy releases.
December 14, 2015 GIRL loops back to Earth, just shy of seven years later.
What did you think of the letter, BOYs?

This guy says someone submitted a boy a trillion something in length and it looped all the way back.

That letter is beautiful. Kind of amazing to see people were absolutely determined to get to the end years after release. I still remember when Mars was considered a far distant goal.
Never played Noby Noby Boy. When the hell is Wattam coming out?
congratulations, everyone.
>reading the letter
Conflicting emotions
What is this game
that letter was pretty sweet
thanks keita you incredible lunatic
>>320188887
Noby Noby Boy. It was a game by the creator of Katamari. You played a stretchy creature named Boy who could stretch out really far. Then you'd submit the length of Boy to Girl, a much larger stretchy creature, who would then stretch that much further toward the moon. Players actively submitted lengths until today when they finally completed the trip around the solar system and got back to Earth.
has Keita made anything since that Alphabet game he did for LA Game Space?
>>320189226
Why did they stop?
>>320189428
cause that's the end of the trip. Girl traveled to every planet and then made it back to Earth. the game is over now.
spooky how keita just posted this a few days ago
>>320189596
>the game is over now
No
>>320190129
I mean I guess you can keep submitting length to Girl, but it's not going to do anything, right? I don't have a Playstation any more
>>320190129
the game part of it is over, but the toy part of it remains, and so do our memories or whatever
Wow, people still played this? I was bored of it within a couple weeks. Kinda cool they looped around, tho.
>>320186031
>This guy says someone submitted a boy a trillion something in length
How the fuck did he accomplish that
>>320191521
he had 3 million saved up from a few days, and the multiplier increased to 2,000,015
bam GG no re
I can't believe it's over.
>>320191989
Same
WHAT A GLORIOUS DAY TO BE ALIVE
>>320185593
IT'S OVER
IT'S FINALLY OVERnow what
>>320193367
now we need Wattam, and Katamari 2 on PSN
>>320185593
man it seems the records for sun to mercury/venus/earth don't exist yet.
i was contemplating getting a cheap ps3 to help by leaving it on all day, but now its over.
congrats noby fans
>>320193712
those boards are blank because we got the whole remainder during the sun stretch
wait i just found out we only won because they increased the bonus multiplier.
way disappointing.
>>320194248
everything after pluto was intended to be a victory lap basically. the push to pluto took a ton of effort and everyone that contributed should be proud
I'm in the Top 20 length reporters, so I guess I did my part. Good work to everyone who sent even a single meter of length to Girl over the years!
>Literally the only recording of the end of a video game there will ever be is covered in fucking shitty memes on a potato
Hey Choin Heap I know you're browsing, fucking end yourself.
>>320194574
you can boot up the game and see the same ending right now
>>320194574
>>320194659
What are the commands to start the in-game video recording again? I'd recorded them to each planet arrival, but always forget how shortly after. Since I haven't turned the game on yet today I'd like to grab these final ones as well.
>>320194574
there will be other recordings, chill
>>320185593
holy shit it happened
It's really nice to finally hear https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2Lb8dvydro in-game
it's cool too because it seems when you access the menu you always get GIRL as the cursor now
>>320194876
you hold square
>>320194876
we actually dont get to see the sun, mercury, or venus arrivals which is pretty lame

I'm just picturing Keita with a spoon in his hand spinning in circles at the news.
>>320195808
I'm excited for him to post about it
>>320191643
>and the multiplier increased to 2,000,015
That's a lame way to end things. First it was 2,015 then 20,015 and now it jumped right to that? Talk about underwhelming.
>>320197172
yeah i wish it stayed at 20,015, it was a reasonable boost and it would have made the game last a few more months. the jump straight to the end is a little blueballish
>>320197297
Surely Bamco just wants to have the game be 'done' so they can shut the server down.
>>320197631
they probably forgot it was even running
>>320197172
>>320197297
They might have been worried that people would lose interest in the game again if the return took too long but screwed up on the multiplyer making the trip a lot faster than intended.
>>320197985
Could be. Would have been very misguided. Anyone still interested now would make it another few months / what does it even matter? Are they really banking on Noby Boy right now?
Is this celebratory version of Earth a one-time thing or something we can revisit?
>>320197832
That happens more often than you think. The only reason Warner Bros remembered they still had the Space Jam website up was because they noticed it was still somehow getting traffic from people wondering if it was still the same.
>>320199339
someone said it's always your first earth load of a play session
You can read the final message here. It was written back when the game was released. http://i.imgur.com/zpzvUGT.jpg

why is keita so based?
