Do you actually not realize how contradictory this is? Everything flawed about LoL aside from parts of its monetization system exist exactly the same in Smite.
LoL is trash, and Smite is literally LoL with the camera panned down, so Smite is trash.

Game balance is FUBAR at high level play, most of the "pro players" hate playing the damn game and only continue playing for twitch bux.
It's totally not like LoL, because I wouldn't play it.
Anyway like any other online game I get bored after a while, but this one is quite fun and even bought the pack with all champions when it was 30$. I like this game because it's more dynamic and less boring than LoL, you actually control a character and you need to be aware of all your surrending. You are also directly into the action and that is way better than LoL imo. Also playing Gods is cool.

As someone who has played a lot of LoL (you all hate me, I know) and a bit of Smite, I can't get over how clunky it feels. Movement in general feels bad due to how restricted it is doing anything other than moving forwards and ground targeted effects are frustrating to aim.

Completely wrong, Smite has the exact same team comp meta as LoL, most of the same items, and the same type of characters premade for those roles just like LoL. It's the exact same game with a different camera and control scheme. And that camera and control scheme being "more fun" is purely subjective, if anything I'd argue that objectively it's worse because the game is still functionally 2D and the characters are designed as if you were playing them from a top-down perspective, making lots of ground targets less clear and intuitive to place properly.
At the very least, I can objectively say the game is not very well designed for its perspective and controls. They just took LoL, changed the camera and controls, and called it a game. Very little was changed or reworked to play around it properly.

Sorry I don't like the style of LoL and don't have much experience with it so that's how I feel, I'm not an expert of the subjet, Mobas are probably my least favortie genre of game.

Smite doesn't take advantage of being in third person. Its no better than a custom game of Dota 2 that forces third person camera and controls. In regards to level design and vision especially.

This is true. Honestly though, I think this is part of the fun. Mostly everything is viable if you're good enough. Balance is overrated, and essentially means only certain things are good. Balance isn't even balance, it's just setting up a strict meta which you must absolutely comply with to remain competitive.

I haven't played since they ruined He Bo's design because China was assblasted that their character wasn't "cool" enough or whateverthefuck.
I saw they did it to Hercules, Guan Yu and Odin too and decided to never play it again.

The issue is that when that's the solution, every melee needs to be the same kind of "sticky bruiser" in order to not be worthless, and it starts an arms race in melee champion design.
It's an entire fucking mess of problems and duct tape solution that cause more problems, all that could be fixed by just keeping turn speeds.
