The atmosphere is the best of the series, and better than many games out right now.
The pedestrian discussions/interactions, the radio, the ambient sounds, the variety of NPC's, the graphics and more all blends together really nicely.
A lot of people probably think it's not as immersive as an action RPG or something like that, but I find it's very easy to get engrossed in the world.
The online is great too if you like the feeling of leveling up and earning cash to spend on all exotic cars/planes/guns whatever.

Especially because you can accidentally switch from your offline character to your online character rather easily.
They made the switching seamless so that it seems like you're just switching to yet another character, only that if you choose the wrong one, and you have mods installed, you're breaking the rules immediately.

I used a 970 for that webm myself, I play it at 1440p and a mixture of very high and a few ultra settings. Drops to about 45fps in the city during busy explosions, but it still retains a smoothness, just gets "cinematic"
Honestly, if you can, get a better card than the 970, I'm happy with mine, but that was all my budget could allow at the time. I heard the 390 does better but I wouldn't know.

As someone that pretty much only played as a chaser, flag drag is dumb. Chasers had an advantage against cappers already since cappers don't regenerate health and couldn't self-propel with their spinfusor more than a couple times. A good chaser was already capable of catching up.

Not much visual difference and you'll gain a good 15-20 FPS.
My 280x can pull off an almost perfect 60 FPS in the city on very high with post FX on high at 1440p.

I run medium textures and high/ultra most other things on my 670 gtx. Keeps me under 2gb ram usage (I wish more games included a vram indicator like gta has) and I don't mind the lower quality textures since I can only really notice on posters, magazines, trash and whatnot.
Game runs essentially flawlessly at 60fps and 1080, which I was really impressed with considering its a port and my vid card is sort of shit these days.

Mouse and keyboard + first person is so nice. I think you can just instantly switch to a controller for flying and shit, but I'm not 100% on that. I remapped the keyboard to make flight easier (basically using WASD and OKL; instead of mouse controls) and it's very easy to get around in all vehicles.
I changed lean forward/back for motorcycles to the thumb buttons on my mouse too.
