Finally I got around to play this game. Just killed Gore Magala for the first time. I used lance up to this point, but tried the great sword on Gor Magala because of the fire damage.
The Zamtrios armor looks pretty cool, but I don't see much use in that carnivore skill. What armor should I forge next?Monster Hunter Thread

I like lance because it allows you both a lazy playstyle as well as an alert one. I am still just getting the hang of the evading technique, but it is really fun.

Also, Velocidrome armor is the only armor you need for Low Rank.
Make it again once you hit high rank, then near the end of high rank make a new set that has better skills for you weapon type. In the GS's case, it was something like Diablos-Diablos-Diablos-Gore-Shagaru.
