Every fucking game in existence has a story of some sorts, you autistic fuck. The fact is that Dark Souls has barely any focus in telling one. Most players beat the game without knowing shit about the world, the story or the characters and that's okay, because the lore/story is a nice addition, but not the core feature of the game. The game manages to be good RPG without needing a good story and that was the entire point of the argument.

You are very strange. Everyone except you found it to be depressing as fuck. The atmosphere was so strong that it made me feel nauseous at times - I could barely even get through it, it made me feel so bad. But the fact that they were able to create such a powerful atmosphere is a great achievement.

Every element in the game is designed to prevent fun, since if the player did have fun it would ruin the atmosphere - the player is supposed to be depressed and lonely, not happy. For example, the combat is incredibly shit, with clunky controls and stiff animations. This is because if fighting was fun, there would be a huge disconnect between the player and the James, and it would give the player an incentive to seek out enemies to fight, which is the opposite of what they wanted to happen.

What did you think was fun about it?
