Dota 2 custom games are shit currently with 98% of the thousands just redone / rebalanced version of the Dota formula. As far as unique, good and entertaining custom games, it's not nearly on the same page as sc2 custom games yet.
I say this as a person who still hosts 8-10 people lan parties to play wc3, sc2, and Dota 2 customs. Dota 2 has very few playable customs outside of the moba rebalanced customs

I liked that game but I would never give it a higher score than 7/10. The game suffered from bland on foot combat, complete garbage story/characters/script, poor balance, copypasted content out the ass (seriously, all the top togs were just texture swaps, had the same voices, same animated intros, were just stronger version of the "heavy" enemies, etc. and that's just the top dogs), dumb progression roadblocks (hurrr collect these shitty car pieces to make a shitter car than the one you're driving to progress the story), etc.
