Is Redemption any good?
>>320124974
It's like witcher 1 to witcher 2.
>>320125206
but witcher 1 is the best one
TO THE ABYSS WITH THEE
It was more than decent for its time, especially for fans of the setting, but Bloodlines set the bar way too high and Redemption is simply too annoying and dated for me nowadays.
>>320124974
It has amusing dialogue. The tone and old English.
>>320124974
Redemption is fucking awful to actually play.
Good luck getting past Mercurio or the golem without cheating either.
>The "good" ending of Redemption doesn't allow Christof to shake off his vampirism and go to heaven
Poor form desu
>>320128025
o-oh okay
>>320128102
It's dissapointing, it hurt my feelings. Don't play it if you don't want to get hurt
>>320128182
I've already been hurt.
>>320124974
So much hours spent on the multi back in the day...
I didn't really like redemption, I remember the ai party being retarded and the game was just way too repetitive
>>320124974
It comes down to personal taste.
I loved the game even though it scored mediocre scores and reviews. If you don't like VTM youll find it boring because of the mechanics.
If you like VTM you'll enjoy the story, music and atmosphere.

Forgot to add, the patch is a must! If you want to play the game install it!
I tried it and it was pretty much unplayable because you couldn't directly control your party members properly, instead you had to watch their shitter AI fuck up everything
>>320126289
pretty much this
I really want to try the pen and paper game but I don't have any friends who'd be interested
>>320125206
So it's way way better ?
>>320129291
Same. I've read 2/3 of the tabletop rulebooks by now (of which there are A LOT)
I got this game when it came out and it was blown away big time.
If you like vampires and the whole subculture with it - play it. It's not as good as Bloodlines, but it's still a pretty good RPG with some flaws.
I think it has aged pretty good and it stay VERY VERY close to the source material. Lore & story is top notch.
I still replay it from time to time.
Patch is a must. Get the GoG version.
>>320128025
I'm not sure vampirism is something that can be 'cured' in the World of Darkness.
>>320129710
I wish there was more VtM games like it, with transitions between the Dark Ages and the Modern Nights.
Now that the IP isn't held hostage by CCP anymore, we might have a chance of getting exactly that, but I have no idea which developer could be entrusted with making a good VtM game.
Also, the multiplayer was/is really nice.
Best with 3 player, two player and one Dungeon Master. I sewar the Dungeon Master modus in this game is so awesome.
>>320130094
Louis Pasteur cured it.
>VtM game where you can explore all the fancy schmancy Thaumaturgy paths with a Tremere in a cozy London chantry
>VtM game with fully implemented Vicissitude, allowing the modification of PC, NPCs, characters in the AI crowd, allows the creation of szlachta and vozhd out of both humans and animals (imagine breaking into the local zoo)
>VtM game where the Ravnos' Chimerstry is implemented so you can conjure bullshit out of thin air and sell it for mad loot
>No cozy Baali ritual altar next to your own organ pit, in your cozy little haven
>No Nossie information-brokering network
Why live, dudes?
It will be THEN WHO WAS SARCOPHAGUS all over again.
>>320130617
>VtM game where the Ravnos' Chimerstry is implemented so you can conjure bullshit out of thin air and sell it for mad loot
pretty much impossible to implement properrly 2bh
>>320124974
Redemption plays really bad, and I'm not saying that lightly.
Do not blaspheme so about Adam and Eve!
>>320130708
As is any of the other Clans' disciplines.
Shit, do you know what a Lasombra vampire can do with enough points in Obtenebration? Blotting out the sun is just one of the abilities.
>>320130774
TO THE ABYSS WITH THEE!
Which ones should I install on GOG version?
I was almost liking this game, but
>playing as Brujah
Ew.
>>320131652
unofficial 1.2
gog comes with 1.1
>>320124974
I liked it.
It's more of a JRPG in terms of storytelling since the main character's personality is mostly pre-written, e.g. you're forced into a romance, and the player has little input when it comes to changing it.
However, it's nicely told and did some fairly unique things, e.g. you start in the high middle ages and end the game in the modern period.
>tfw no Nagaraja gf
What do I do now? Just install them on in this order?
>>320127804
>Mercurio or the Golem
That wasn't hard, fucking Tremere fortress bullshit
Wilhelm is mai waifu
