The bar of expectation is set too high - they'd need a sizeable budget to give this game enough quality content to make it a worthy successor but the way it looks it's going to be another "we just made this for the fans with a minimal budget because m-muh nostalgia" title. That's before we look at the issue of financial success that requires it to be a multiplat, gutting any chance at visual fidelity, boundary free environments or complex content.
