RECOMMEND ME SOME GOOD PUZZLE GAMES FUCK.
Preferably mechanics-based (e.g TIS-100) rather than riddle-based (e.g Prof. Layton), but whatever's clever.
I've been playing Kairo, got it pretty cheap on the last sale. Have you played that?

No, but I enjoyed the shit out of Talos Principle and I thought Antichamber was cute when it wasn't doing the self-help malarkey. Could be worthwhile.

I got in way over my head on Spacechem, I still need to finish it.
The Zelda gameboy titles - Link's Awakening, Oracles - all have some quite nice puzzles in the dungeons and you get the action-adventure aspect too, plus emulation won't cost you a penny and they'll run on a prehistoric toaster.

>riddle based puzzles
They're neat and all but you always get the occasional one that's complete bullshit.

That's nothing to be ashamed of. I usually stop playing it for a month or two before I get the itch again.

Ace attorney and Dangan Ronpa :^)
Starseed Pilgrim was pretty neat

Sure they're not pure puzzle games but much of the gameplay in both does revolve around solving puzzles. I mean they're at least somewhat relevant to the discussion.

You might also want to check out Qube if you like first-person abstract puzzle solving.

I played recently Hexcells. You should buy the three games as the first feels a bit short in term of satisfaction/difficulty. But the mix between the minesweeper and the picross works well.
Talos principle, and tetrabot and co are very good ones.
