Have you ever met a fellow /v/irgin?

Did you play vidya?
>>
Yeah but he wouldn't stop being annoying as hell. We played Portal 2.
>>
Annoying meme meister he was. Now that I think of it, almost every person I've met who says they go on /v/ or just 4Chan in general has been a gigantic meme spouting faggot.
>>
>>320095904
/b/ meetup, 2007. It was exactly as terrible as you think it was, and it absolutely killed my urge to express knowledge about 4chan in public ever again.
>>
>>320095904
Yes but neither one of us has acknowledged it.
He always makes a point of saying he doesn't like Call of Duty when a group of us are playing together and when I was telling him about a little two player spaceship battle game I'd once made in GameMaker he had the biggest smirk on his face.
>>
>meet up with a trap from /v/
>they were more masculine than I was expecting
>I was more autistic than they were expecting
sometimes I think back to that, and I start laughing while trying not to weep

Not IRL, but I met a /v/ guy before. Nice enough fellow, no meme spouting. Was a brony, never knew until it was mentioned in passing after a couple months of playing vidya, got on the topic somehow. Gifted him a game or two I think, poor guy was in some shit situations so never got anything back but didn't expect anything either. He made some decent pixel art too.

Everyone else has just been meme machine faggots. Outside of 4chan and often inside you're all a bunch of reddit-tier shit stains.
>>
>>320096730
In my time on 4chan, I realized like 90% of 4chan lives below the poverty line. I've literally never talked to someone from 4chan who didn't end up homeless or live in squalor at some point. It's so bizarre.
>>
>>320096838
Same here, most 4chan visitors I've met are either

1) Below or around poverty line (I myself am probably barely above, my fiance and I often live check to check but we afford unnecessary luxuries.)
2) Muh uni, I swear everyone is a god damn student.
3) Living with parents, often along with option 1 and 2.

Where can I meet blue collar vidya players on here? My best friend is a plumber's apprentice but he doesn't go on /v/ much, he's more of a /tg/ guy these days anyways. Me too but I like the discussions on here, however rare they be
>>
>>320095904
I met Rasputin, the ugly guy who posts his dick every now and again.

He was a very nice, friendly guy. he speaks very politely and makes puns and "farce" jokes, like saying something incredibly wrong but totally seriously and earnestly with a huge fake grin on his face. He also dances all the time. like he doesn't walk as much as he groves along, and clicks his fingers along with music in his head.
>>
>>320097229
>Has a best friend, fiance, and doesn't live with his parents
m8 I think you're better off on another website
I'm just a NEET with some rich parents
>>
>>320095904
You think the guy on the left would look cute in a skirt
>>
>>320097628
Yes. He has a nice smile and cute eyes.
>>
Only guy I knew from /v/ apart from myself was alright for the most part. Had some serious anger issues, though.

>Go to uni this year
>fucking hated it
>eventually see they have a vidya society
>"fuck it, i'll at least try it"
>go there, and first room I see is just Halo multiplayer
>second room are a bunch of guys sitting around talking about MGSV
>join them and discuss it with them
>conversation goes back to other MGS games, soon the Witcher, soon game reviewers, God Hand, cuhrayzee games and other shit
>eventually ask one of them what their favourite game is
>turns out it's exactly the same as mine
>for the next 3 hours or so, we just discuss vidya games
>afterwards we would always go back to the common room to discuss more vidya and play some more (sometimes)
>hear them talk about shit they saw on /v/ while I'm there
>it all made more sense

Honestly, most of the people I've met online and offline who browse /v/ have been chill dudes. I guess I've missed the faggotry somewhere along the way, and just found the diamond in the rough.
>>
>>320097579
Heh, you'd think from picking the normie aspects out yeah. I'm pretty anti-social outside of what is needed for work. I haven't spoken to said friend in probably a couple months outside of him asking what preferences I'd have for a bachelor's party because I'm a shut-in and my fiance has taken in some of my personality in that she prefers to stay home now and play vidya or watch netflix and essentially we just have alone time, but together. As for not living with my parents, well I just have some need to contribute to society in some way. I only work about 40 hours a week and as an EMT that's low. The rest is spent bitching about vidya here and sometimes playing vidya or /tg/ games with previously mentioned fiance.

If being autistic enough to try and explain my normie levels isn't redemption idk what is.

I've met tons of people from 4chan. It's rather crazy how often I bump into people. I've dated a girl from /soc/, but sadlyshe killed herself. I met Captain Kek (a namefriend) and another guy from [s4s] when I met m00t before he retired. The previous anime club presidents at our university have all browsed /a/ and /jp/ and have been friends with them ever since then; I feel being /a/utists made the club as good as it was. I'm good friends (online) with several friends here from /v/ and hope to personally meet them someday. I met a chick at a convention from /cgl/ that's pretty cool, although I don't think her boyfriend is a channer. A police officer buddy of mine browses /tg/ occasionally.

I'm sure there's a ton more people I know of but I can't think of them off the top of my head at the moment. It's pretty damn swell though, especially with how cool they all are. I've also had some autists come up to me screaming about memes and shit, specifically back in freshman year, as well as some kid from /jp/ who came up to me and asked if I browsed 4chan because he saw me on /v/ during a class once. Common to popular belief, a good lot of people here are normalfags, or at least effectively know how to act like an extrovert enough to blend into society, and on the flipside, are just as obnoxious as you'd imagine, just like any other community.
>>
>>320098303
>>Honestly, most of the people I've met online and offline who browse /v/ have been chill dudes.

Because no one would talk shit irl. Here's there's nothing stopping me from saying you're a faggot and your favorite game is shit and you like sucking dicks.
>>
>>320098303

Proptip bud, but personally, the most I got out of university were friends who actually are worth getting to know. Hold onto them for dear life, because once you leave college, it's back to the mundane life.
>>
>>320095904
No I dont leave my house
So I dont meet anyone let alone /v/
>>
>>320095904

Yeah. Once.

He worked at Gamestop. He tried to steer me into buying PE4:G. When I asked him about SMT4 he waddled his fat ass away from me.

Thanks bud.

Your favourite video game sucks too. ;)

>>320098659

Yeah I will, we're already pretty great friends. By the 5th week of uni, they let me stay over at their house and we played vidya all the time while I was there.

It's weird since I've never really had friends like them before, (it was either I faked being a normie, or I was just "that weird guy" who everyone knew was weird but still remained friends with) I'm not entirely sure how I should act when I'm with them when I'm in their house. Sometimes I feel like I've done something wrong but they'll all act cool about it.

Plus, people like that are one in a million, so finding around seven of them at the same time is pretty much friends set for life.

>[s4s]

The cancer willfully presents itself amongst us without shame!
>>
>>320099153

>Implying [s4s] is bad

My friend, you've yet to enjoy true funposting until you've taken a visit. [s4s] has ascended to such a level that it goes well past ironic shitposting and has made "being nice" a meme, one of which is so regularly and heavily moderated that it's one of the only non-blue boards that rarely ever receives pornography or gore of any kind although it has been in a bit of a decline in the past few months.

Legitimately, it's nothing like any bit the rest of the board. It's a freak of nature and legitimately m00t's favorite board.
>>
Some idiot in basic training was trying to be funny by spouting memes. I ignored him and pretended like I didn't know what he was talking about.
>>
I've been really good friends with an /a/non for almost ten years now. We argue about fucking everything, and always have, even before we started using 4chan.

We're still pretty good friends despite having completely different tastes in everything though
>>
>>320099432

The cancer continues to present itself without shame! It shows that it lacks self-awareness!
>>
Yeah and yeah. He's chill. I still talk to him sometimes, but he probably thinks I hate him since I only want to hang or even talk once in a blue moon. Played vidya with his friends too.

>>320099023
Hah. The guy I met likes MT as well. I think that was why we started talking in the first place. Thankfully, not a Purseowner-only fan.
>>
Yeah, my best friend, we play melee together every weekend.

We go to different schools
>>
>>320096730
From what I've seen 4channers in general aren't meme-spouting faggots in real life.

They'll do it online because, hey, its relatable humor, but most people here are somewhat timid in the real world and are afraid of being judged for acting a particular way. It's what anonymity does to you I guess.
>>
>>320099432

Moot admitted that /s4s/ was a mistake.

You're his final little regret.

In-game? Plenty, and maybe more but it's hard to tell from a distance if they picked the meme they present themselves with from reddit or /v/. There are cool ones, and while I have to ignore a meme or two they drop out of context they're good people over all.

At my community college, there's a few. Mostly isolated weebs, this one guy who talked about /b/ in class, and definitely a couple that browsed but never said a word. Community college being the place for rejects, I imagine there's countless people who go by.
>>
>>320098472
How do you find out if people are from 4chan? Surely you don't just go up and ask them?
>>
>>320099746

He didn't admit it was a mistake though. When I asked him what his favorite board was, he said [s4s]. This was at Anime Weekend Atlanta 2013 I believe.

Moot regretted you.

You're his final little mistake.

His worst decision.

You are cancer incarnate.

The fact that you wont use forward slashes is proof enough of your disease.
>>
>>320099920

People just happen to mention things that are in reference to what we talk about her, or some certain memes that you hear from here like, "I am angry. Angry about elves." or the loss comic. That, or Friend will be mentioning how he read something he was reading and how I'll notice it's a thread I was looking at too. It's mostly coincidence, but sometimes I ask people; it's not as if it's the very first thing I ask people though for certain.

Great proof you got there mate. Here's your (You).
>>
>>320100353

I'm not surprised that the cancer didn't listen to all of his final address to the site.

You're here to destroy. That's all you are. That is why you are called 'cancer' in the first place.
>>
>>320100138
Not him but there used to be this map website where you dropped a pin where you lived, along with a message, and then got to see where the other /v/irgins lived. And iirc there was a way to make your pin pink if you were a trap or something.

I haven't seen that map posted in years though. I was too in too rural of an area at the time but I'm in Orlando now, and for some reason there seems to be a shitton of anons in Orlando.
