Does Pro Skater 4 have the worst soundtrack of the series?
>>320088314
>does the game with the best soundtrack have the worst soundtrack
no
>>320088447
That isn't Pro Skater 3.
All My Best Friends Are Metalheads used to be my jam as a teen. I tried listening to it just now and stopped before the second chorus.

>>320088628
I'm not. You stop.Let's just agree that Pro Skater 5 is the worst in every regard
American Wasteland had an absolute garbage soundtrack in comparison to any THPS game period.
oodles and oodles of o's ya know
you get em from your sister you get em from you bro

W-where's Rodney Mullen?
>>320088910
You can really see the toll having two divorces and losing your kids twice has taken on his face.
DID I TRIP MYSELF UP AGAIN?
>>320088910
>only legacy pro skater to return is Andrew Reynolds
Where's my bro Geoff Rowley at man?
>mfw Rodney Mullen has bad knees now and can't skate as much.
>actually had to learn how to skate in switch stance because couldn't put as much pressure on his other leg anymore
>your favorite pros from the 90s and 2000s are now too old to even skate
>>320089020
You're not a very good person.

R-remember this christmas to buy the ultimate skating experience with Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5.
>>320089109
*3 divorces lmfao
>>320089368
I think Tony will be ok with the money he made in the 90s.
>>320089109
This is a joke right
I'm surprised Tony Hawk still even skates. The dudes in his 50s, and not a lot of the other pros are holding up very well.
Then again, vert skating isn't as hard on you as street skating is.
>>320089575
Too bad half of it is gone now.
>>320088314
Is that the one with the AFI song or is that 3? Either way, no. I don't mind any of the Tony Hawk soundtracks. They usually have some pretty good Punks songs in them. Even 5 has good songs.
>>320089485
Shit you're right. Didn't realize he had another one a few years back. I wonder what he his first thoughts every morning are when he gets up out of bed.
>>320089368
>Lil' WayneI skated with him once at his Truk Fit lounge in Wynwood. He's actually really fucking terrible. Especially considering a lot of the people he skates with are infinitely better than him. I was doing grinds on a rail with some other kid, and he made us clear the entire spot so he could record himself failing to ollie a 1ft fucking rail endlessly on a cell phone so he could put it up on IG.
Anyone else feel that the downfall of Tony Hawk was the lack of interesting levels? It began in Underground, though that still had some quality levels. I remember THUG 2 being shit in terms of levels. I miss the sewers, kitchen sinks, skate heavens and all that. Those were the best.
>>320089895
THUG 2 was kind of the sweet spot. THUG 1 was better, but only because it didn't have a goofy fucking design style, and the levels were spacious and not cramped as fuck.
Arcade mode saved THUG2. So many fucking things to unlock in that damn game too. There were something like 100 unlockable skaters.
>>320089895
Underground did cities right, and had Hotter Than Hell as a fun level.
I'd say underground 2 screwed up with a lot of the levels being kind of empty and not having many lines outside of the 2 or so for each level.
I'd say the PS3 games were a big dip. The open world in Project 8 was only really the size of maybe 6 THUG levels put together, maybe smaller. They should have included the classic mode levels like the PSP version did.
>>320089895
They lost the focus.
First they were arcade-like games, then they focused too much on mtv tier shit and free roaming instead of score-based gameplay (its was still there, but isn't that good).
Then it came the gimmick era with Ride and Shred and the series went to shit
>>320089895
Yeah. It stopped being good after THUG2. AW was garbo. P8 was ok but didn't have enough content. Proving Grounds was just shit with a shit skater lineup.
5 was made by a shitty studio that made the janky as fuck HD release, programmed by a bunch of retarded hipsters.
Long gone are the days of THPS games made by actual programmers with programming degrees, and not useless game design degrees, who actually know how to fucking program.
>those old Neversoft videos of the team having fun and fucking around behind the scenes with all the skaters and just each other in general
When you have a fun environment with people as fun as them, it's no wonder their games were so damn fun.
>>320089861
>references his skating abilities in his music from time to time
>see him online once skating
>bunch of dudes busting some nice tricks / jumps on ramps
>his retarded ass crawls up, does a shove-it, and fakies back down, almost busting his ass
He's ridiculous.
>>320090532
Bam Margera and the whole game basically being one big Bam Margera jeroff is what annoyed me most about THUG2.
Especially didn't help that I had a friend who was obsessed with him, and would always do retarded shit like randomly punching the shit out of our friends, jumping on people, and being a general fucking idiot, and was why I hated Bam to begin with.
>>320089895
It was because they didn't understand what the fanbase wanted. Underground was popular with a specific crowd but yet you still had people like me who liked the old timed levels like in thps 2. when skate came out they had to adapt to try and beat the competitor but ended up failing miserably. I blame ride and the fact that they didn't just stick to one formula
>>320090785
I really don't get it. The most hated part of THPS4 was Bam Magera's terrible shopping cart pro challenge and they decided to make 1/3 of the game just like that in THUG 2 with those shitty vehicles
Speaking of soundtracks, has anyone here ever played Freestyle Metal X? God that fucking game was amazing and so was the soundtrack.
>>320090785
Oh well, Bam probably won't be with us for much longer. He's gone the way of the wacky dentist and Brendan Fraser
>>320091035
JUST EARTHROCK MY SHIT UP
>>320090930
THUG2 came out around 2003 or so, I believe, which was around the time Viva La Bam was blowing up MTV2 and playing 5 times a day, so it was very clearly an easy money magnet.
>>320091035
He was always a faggot, and he'll forever be a faggot. Every single one of his friends was way cooler than he was.
>>320089895
No, the problem is they're innovating but in the wrong way. They kept adding stuff that nobody ones because face it, the core itself was already too good since THUG. When PG was came out everyone already got stale by the mechanics, and Skate was new so
>>320088314
THUG1's is pretty bad
>>320093573
The racing stuff sure was, but the main game is standard tony hawk shit, how was that bad?
>>320093573
>Tfw I actually enjoyed the cars when I was like 10 or 12 years old
>I wish I'd never grown up
>talking about Tony Hawk without mentioning the new THUGPro update with THPS3 Levels
