I liked Electronic Super Joy base game too. And the bit trip runners if they count. I rarely dislike platformers other than LIMBO so just give any recommendations that maybe aren't obvious.
Rayman Origins/Legends are on the list too.
I've been playing Downwell. It's kind of like a faster paced version of Spelunky.
It's not bad but I think I still like SpelunkyHDbetter.

yeah, i thought it was a gorgeous game, and the twirl/dash switching is so much fucking fun, plus those levels are pretty huge for a 2.D game. Hard as fuck to find all the gems in every level.
Only problem i have is the final boss is a little bullshit.

Mr. No 2D is hilarious sometimes too, he loathes shit like the original Zelda and the Oracle games but loves Spirit Tracks and Tri Force Heroes (he makes an exception for 4 Swords because Co-op)

Magic is kind of P2W, though. Good decks are always super expensive and if you're playing standard, you have to keep buying new decks over and over
N++ on PS4 is fun. Better than the original, but I think the levels are easier. Either that or it ramps up in difficulty really nicely, so I never noticed getting better.
