Oh god, I got shivers reading this. There's so much fucking glorious moments in those films that I thought were marred by the hobbits. It was so much easier reading about the hobbits than actually watching and hearing them speak.

Really? I found the hobbits even more boring to read about. I would have preferred an entire book about the misadventures of Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas.

It was tolerable reading about them. It still wasn't that great. Watching them bungle around was painful. Yes, I would have loved to watch Aragorn, Gimli, Gandalf, and Legolas bring together the new alliance.
Uniting under a common cause in fiction makes my dick rock hard. Lord of the Rings, Pacific Rim, Independence Day, Mass Effect, Halo. Independence Day was a shit movie, but that moment where the world's remaining military bands together is just fucking glorious.
Even when bad guys in cartoons band together that's just incredible.
