In my entire WoW career playing since launch day I've never actually made any friends. Mostly because I didn't like the idea of being close to anybody I don't know in person. My sister's friends are all people she met online and they come in a wide variety of fucking weird assholes.

If you haven't played WoD at all, the PvE is some of the best it's ever been. my only complaint with it is that compared to Highmaul and BRF, Hellfire Citadel just feels way too "same-y", and half the boss fights are either carbon copies from the previous tier, or just a giant clusterfuck when PUGing.
the PvP is absolute dogshit though. Ashran is boring as fuck unless you can find a way into a premade (which you won't unless you're already fully geared), random BGs are full of bots and retards who just endlessly farm mid for honor kills, low level arenas are similar, kickbots and flyhackers everywhere, and high level arena is so unbalanced (mostly because of how retarded Every Man for Himself is) that it's not worth playing if you aren't human.
Questing is good and actually worth going through a few times (because the outpost choices in each zone unlock different story paths)
End Game solo/gearing is absolute ass. Tanaan is just a shitty Timeless Isle reskin, but the tokens and Apexis drop constantly so you can farm them quick.
Timewalking is a pretty nice event to catch, older dungeons are piss easy and you get showered in timewalking coins to buy 675 gear.
Mythic dungeons are absolute shit. Everyone is either too concerned with ilvl requirements (despite being scaled down to 660ish when running them) or are too retarded to follow mechanics, and you're practically forced to run them if you want to be competitive with Valor.
Farming old raids for transmog/mounts doesn't count as content (no matter how many people say otherwise).

Just cleared Heroic Archi not too long ago and got my moose. My guild wants to push Mythics now but i see literally no reason to do it when we're already at mythic ilvls thanks to valor upgrades, the new mechanics of each boss don't make it feel like a "new" fight (unlike BRF where they were interesting), it's just one more priority add or one more puddle on the ground.
Once my sub lapses at the end of this month, i'm not coming back until Legion pre-patch. I've done everything i wanted to in regards to WoD content, and everything from previous expansions will still be there when/if i come back.

There's no one on insane super robot god demon mounts. No insanely over-designed armor (well a bit I guess, but nothing compared to what we see now). Now, everyone has 20 different insane mounts, everyone's armor looks like it's made for fucking gods. And now blizzard is giving everyone legendary weapons that are supposed to have lots of lore behind them. Every fucking paladin will have the ashbringer. Death knights will have weapons made out of fucking frostmourne. like the most known weapon in the fucking warcraft universe.
I guess it all comes down to the whole "No one is special, if everyone is" thing.
