And why would that be? It's kind of a chicken and the egg situation innit. One that the comic already explicitly tried to address. So this rebuttal isn't really adding anything.
But the cherry on top has to be the Remember Me reference which was labelled "pandering" on /v/ because they wanted a female protagonist despite their publisher telling them "boys don't want to play that."
I mean, they did it for themselves, because that was the story they wanted to tell. They actually resisted market pressures and kept their integrity. They weren't trying to pander to anyone. But because the game itself was mediocre for reasons entirely independent of the protagonist's gender it suddenly became the go-to example of why every game ever should pander to straight white boys. It's just capitalism!
But at the same time /v/ is better than those SJWs because we buy games based on gameplay and not the gender of the protagonist!
