The romance in 7 is worse than the romance in 8. You go on one date with 1 girl, then you spend a night with one girl, no real relationship development. At least the romantic partners in 8 talked to each other about once a disk about their relationship.
I liked it. Some of the dialogue you can get in disc 2 if you keep Rinoa in your party is cute.
