i just can't see it happening. i think Nintendo is going to fall into the same pitfalls every Japanese dev has with trying the open world thing out. even Kojima fell into the same traps as the games he was trying to imitate. lots of big empty nothing with nothing to do and no variety, lots of copy+paste.

Xenoblade X is full of problems, but the open world is one of the best crafted I've seen and monolith is also working on Zelda.
I don't think the problem with Zelda will be the open world, rather I see them failing to realize what makes Zelda good and make yet another puzzle game with dumb puzzles and mediocre everything else. Aonuma style.
