Sanic cappers was literally never a problem in Legions. This is because Legions actually had good map design.
In Tribes Ascend, there is more space behind the bases than there is between the bases, so you can do an easy back-to-front route that is literally uncatchable.
In Legions, all the common routes are side-to-side, front-to-side, or front-to-front, so chasers can always cut off cappers. The few back-to-front routes that exist take a long ass time to set up, let the chasers see you beforehand and intercept, and/or don't even give you much more speed than the other routes.
