Taggart had the best idea on paper: putting a limit to augmentations to avoid ethical conflict, putting it to use for specialized jobs and the handicapped, but he was a pawn of the Illuminati and would have found a way to fuck it up. Sarif's idea has a lot of potential repercussions for the future but he works independently and wouldn't be manipulated, he's also very true to his vision and wouldn't falter like Taggart would.

Being a better artist in visual settings has around 80% to do with observation and understanding rather than inherent skill. You can be skilled all you want in art, but its still going to be a piece of shit if you don't understand the shapes and how they appropriately interact with one another.

How much do you know about neuroscience? Increasing empathy is as trivial as 5-ht1a agonism. Gimme the ability to stimulate the patient's cortex and a good mapping of their brain and I can do that, no sweat. Monitor their dopamine responses for telltale signs of greed and counter with the stimulation and bam, empathy when it's needed most. The main problem here is that brain implants gum up with scar tissue over time and stop working. Hell you could probably do something similar now with TCDCS right now, it would just be kind of sloppy and inaccurate because the skull is in the way.

Yeah, and that's experience. But you can transplant memories. It's been done in mice. Another thing you could do to augment art (or any creativity really) is stimulate the brain in the right way to induce the flow state. DARPA's working on how to do that and they've had some success.
One thing I found really affecting about the end of the game is that - physically - Adam doesn't really lose anyone. Sarif is fine, even his beloved Megan is alive and well.
But his relationships with those people are shattered. He doesn't love - or even trust - Megan, and the boss he'd previously do anything for he now treats with contempt and suspicion.
