Guys. I'm interviewing Hogarth de la Plante, the lead art director for Bioshock 2 in like 30 min. I have a list of questions, but is there anything you guys would like me to ask him?
Why didn't the Big Sister have big tits?
>>319935781
....valid question.
bumpity bump bump, cmon guys help me out :3
Something about what setting he'd love to pan out if he got to choose a setting etc for a new Shock title. Where will this be posted?
No one, really? That's Sad...
I really enjoyed Bioshock 2, but I don't know what kind of questions to ask.
>>319936679
On my youtube channel.
>>319936789
Yeah this, I'm an unimaginative fuck.
I don't fucking know. What kind of product do you use on your hair?
Who is his favorite hentai artist?
>>319935567
"Mr. de la Plante, you made a shameless cash grab sequel to a fairly well-liked game. Was it difficult? To be so shameless and cash grabby?"
>>319936937
...If he seems to be having a good time, I may just ask him that,
>>319937020
i preferred 2 over the original,
fite me
>>319937020
Fuck off Levine, you hack, 2 is superior to 1 and the patricians choice.
>>319937020
Didn't like playing as a big daddy?
>>319937020
fuck off you retarded little yahtzeedrone
>>319937020
It gripped me the whole way through. Infinite REALLY dragged.
>>319937273
What.
>>319937020
Shock Series:
S2 > MD > B2 = B1 > S1 > B:I
>>319937624
truth,
>>319937624
MD?
WHY THEY DIDNT PUT ANY BOSS FIGHT AT THE END
>>319937020
Thats unfair. While BS1 > BS2, BS2 wasn't a cash grab. I wouldn't even call BS:I a cash grab (although it was bad).
Ask him how he feels about BS:I.
>>319938903
Minerva's Den most likely. Bioshock 2 DLC campaign
>>319938903
minerva's den
>>319938975
1) because fontaine was shit
2) who/what would you fight anyway?
>>319935567
why did they changed the design of the little sisters?
>>319935567
Just tell him I really liked his game and his design of the little sisters was much better than Levine's designs in BS1 and Infinite.
Please tell him he's a talented man.
I don't really know what else to ask really? Aside from about the new BS game being hinted at but doubt he can say anything.
>>319935567
Something along the lines of what's it like trying to design a sequel to something you didn't work on while balancing between it being too close to the original vs too far detached to clash with the earlier game.
Also rip bioshock vita
>>319935567
Something about how hard was it to come up with original ideas in an already predefined setting.
Also tell him thanks for being part of the best Bioshock.
>>319935567
Did you have anything fun that was cut from the final product? A favorite part that you're particularly proud of?
Proofs?
>>319940134
Not OP, but I just wanted to post the comparison pic of the Bioshock little sisters together
>>319941991
Levine needs to be kept away from the series honestly.
Minerva's Den is widely considered to be one of the best DLC in the Bioshock franchise. How did he approach the DLC after having completed the main game, and was there anything in particular he went in wanting to change or modify?
>>319941991
I like the ones in bioshock 1 the most
Why did the father who was getting all hyped up prior to the release of the game suddenly only show up once in an audio log? It felt like he was going to be the main character of the story.
How did he predict feminazi attire with Sophia Lamb?
>>319941991
Is that 1 3 2? Been a while from the bioshocks, never played 3
>>319943404
It's in game release order (B1, B2, B:I DLC)
>>319943646
Really? 3 is how I remember them looking in 1. Odd.
>>319943757
Well you have to remember that a different team (not headed up by Levine) worked on Bioshock 2, so most of the models look pretty similar with the first Bioshock & Infinite. The little sisters look even more ghastly in Infinite than the other games though, I'll give em that much.
Am I the only one who liked bioshock infinite?
>it had a better setting that you coukd interact with
>had more varied enemies
>better plasmids
>good soundtrack
>>319944186
Yes, I think there was 1/4 the plasmids from bs2 and the soundtrack I completely forgot
>>319944186
Is this bait ?
>>319937148
Good man.
>more nuanced morality
>better characterizations
>more interesting philosophies
There are few games that have made me tear up as hard as the ending to Bioshock 2.
>You are my conscience, father... and I need you to guide me.
>>319944448
>quantity = quality
I loved the bucking bronco, undertow and shock jokey, and you could mix and match too, bioshock 2 just had normal things like flames and wind.
And you dont remember the 80's songs remade to fit the time period?
>>319942528
Fun fact that shit was done by the Gone Home devs, who apparently wanted that and Bioshock set in the same universe.
>>319946052
Fug :DDDDDD
>>319946052
Honestly not surprisingly considering the last 10 mins of MD it literally turns into a walking simulator. The seeds where there.
The devs seem to have talent but are misguided.
