I just got one of these after having a fliphone since 2007.
The speed and technology is fucking amazing on this thing. A lot of apps seem like shit but I found some utility ones like a flashlight, mangarock for reading manga, and spotify for music. But the real question. Does the android store have any good games that are free?

I honestly cannot recommend a single ios/android game on the store. They are all monotonous trash to lure you into paying for something.
Best thing you can do is just download every emulator and just playing classic games. Rpg's are easiest as you dont have to do any precise controls. I managed to complete FF5,6,7 and Vagrant Story without a hitch. Thinking about Crash Bandicoot next

Got a OnePlus 2 recently as my first real performance smartphone after having been stuck with a sony ericsson Xperia for 5 years.
All the games are either grind forever or pay garbage, some clones of better games on major platforms or the occasional gimmicky artistic 2 hour games. The later are somehow the only once worth checking out at least.
I just ended up emulating persona 3 on ppsspp and will probably only use emulators.

Actually thanks for reminding of this. it has this app that checks battery, space, secuirty, and ram usage. it says its between 75-80% full of ram usage. are there any bloatwares or background apps i can disable to reduce the ram use? i barely use any apps and that just seems like way to much.

I've had trouble getting TWEWY to work though. I've only been able to find one old 1.0 version that worked on the newer android versions without giving me a license check problem. Newer versions of the game just don't launch for some reasons.
TWEWY is probably one of the best games you can play on a phone, especially if you get a cheap 1$ stylus for the gestures even if it's a bit inferior to the DS version.

watch out for android apps cause half the time they ask for weird permissions and unlike iOS, you can't choose to disable certain permissions per app. It's all or nothing. Also the google play store is not curated in the slightest so there's probably a shitload of junk on their or something trying to get access to your texts of contacts that clearly has no reason to have the access, say weird shit hidden inside one of the dozens of "flashlight" apps.
