Monster Bash.
Shit gets legitimately difficult in later parts.
Uh oh.
Doom
to be fair it is pretty horrible to a 5 year old
Alone in the Dark 3, I was 5. I'm sure I didn't even understand how to play it.
it was included as a free game in one of those gaming magazines
those fucking dogs, man.
mfw they respawn and hunt you down no matter where you are
got raped by jack the ripper until i gave up, completed it only a few years later
this game scared the shit out of me as a kid

The music in the Asylum Playrooms is not music, it's fucking audio psychosis.
Game really scales well to modern hardware and resolutions, can actually look good in some parts.
I was 6
It scared the shit out of me to the point that I couldn't stand being in the same room as the box
Hell yeah

Wolfenstein 3D
on a 2.5 inch floppy
That final boss made me shit my pants.
If that doesn't count, then Doom
If that doesn't count, then Resident Evil

Barely a game, but it was a lot of fun.
>dat fucking werewolf
>dat spooky vampire village
>dat coffin ride
Eternal Darkness.
I was in my first year of university.
Yes I was that much of a pussy, that was also my first real contact with horror.
I played resident evil 3 when I was 8.
At first I thought it was stupid because I couldn't figure out how to shoot.
My brother told me eventually, so I started playing it and for like a month sleep near a window without the fear of zombies bursting through the window and killing me,
Remember when zombies were a rare treat in media? I miss that.

God, I remember playing this when I was fucking 5 and for some reason the visuals seemed photorealistic to me.
I had a shitload of fun despite not understanding anything, but even now 15 years later I still love this game.
It was also the only PC game that my mother would play and really enjoy.
I didn't know wtf was happening
Re3 when I was a kid, around 9-10years old I think, the fucking opening alone haunted me for years
My first horror game, if you can call it that, was Bioshock.
I really didnt start expanding my taste in video games until 360 came out. Prior to that i only played a bunch of colourful platformer along with stuff my cousin had.
Silent Hill 2
I count it as my first horror because resident evil and dead space are shit at being scary and bioshock is just creepy. Pyramid head however is the thing I dread every time its foggy

Alien versus Predator.
Fuck those facehuggers.

Mein neger. That shit had the best music for a horror game.
