quake live had fucking loadouts. What makes these games fun is when there's a server full of people in a free for all. And no, there was barely any advertising for this game. I saw it on a recommended video list when looking over old quake duels
I also don't really care if UT isn't quake levels of skillz, if you can even compare them. UT is about setting up combos that take crazy aim and foresight, quake is about mastering movement mechanics and also having crazy aim as well as map control. It's extremely hard to compare them
