The game itself is honestly one of my all time favourites. I could write a long ass post about it but I'll just say it's basically the dream/ideal game for me in terms of what they were going for.
And the sequel looks fantastic and to be building on it every way I wanted to see it built on. And bringing it back to OSTs, I'm super fucking happy that they confirmed they're bring back Kohei Tanaka to compose the OST for it.

The thing about games is you have to keep in mind that you're not making something you just listen to, you're making a soundtrack. A companion to gameplay.
Is MGR's soundtrack kind of mediocre and almost cringey on its own? Yeah. But it's GREAT for anime-esque hype-ass bullshit like Monsoon's fight- and the way the music adapts to the stage of the fight you're at is fucking perfect.
