>>319884497
I ran into two areas like this just today as well. This one I found by flying up an elevator shaft and opening the door at the top.
Also just search plasma on the nexus and it should be there.
So this is the power of the N64....
>>319884616
>>319884341
>>319883371
To be fair, even if you'd spend 10 years developing a game, the map's so big you just forget about certain areas. It's pretty difficult to make an open world the scale of Fallout 4 (may not be as big as others, but there's many more buildings than average games of this size).
Not excusing them, they're still lazy fucking developers that shit on the hole franchise and I hate them. But it's unrealistic to expect 0 level design bugs.
>>319883635
Doesn't the game have forced tesselation already? That doesn't improve visuals at all but destroy framerate for most people, at least in cities.

whoah
I always forget this awful game exists until I visit here.
Threads about it have seemed to really die down thankfully.
>>319884627
At least they tried it, instead of not being able to look out at all.
Still, its half assed, and it'll be trivial to fix since all you need to do is switch the cell to an exterior, copy paste the surrounding exterior cells into that and you have DC/NV Interiors quality landscape outside the window, that reflects the current time of day outside (but not the weather, because it still bugs out sometime)

>>319885540
Thats exactly what it is, which is why AMD added a feature to force excessive tesselation designed to fuck their cards over to something reasonable. Yes, a feature designed soley to stopa competitor from sabotaging performance on their card in game Nvidia paid more money to 'sponsor'
Btw the godrays are a Goyworks component too so turn them to low, ultra will only run the newest cards
>>319885540
Probably. My amd card is 3 years old and i run this game at 40-60. It would be only logical that newer cards had no trouble running this fine. And yet, we see issues reports left and right.
Had a friend that bought a Nvidia card same year as me. He bought a new one last week because he was having troubles. And mine still does it's job. So it's not far fetched.
>>319885540

Halo numbers, actually. CoD wasn't the big name in the industry just yet since CoD4 wasn't out (Or just came out).
Their CEO was quoted complaining about piracy, even though the game sold like a million copies (A lot for a game that required a hefty PC to even run at the time), and that Warhead would be their last PC exclusive. I thought speccy didn't even show usage? But even if it did, the moment you alt+tab it can drop usage since it's not rendering anymore. And if it does show a log file, then you'll have to read that and figure out what goes where, when it would just be easier to just look at the stats that are presented to you right when you need it anyway. There's also the chance that the game will crash while alt+tabbing, or that it will just not alt+tab.

That's not an advantage? You can turn these things on and off when you want to you fucking retard.
How can a game look like that and yet use up so much processing power?
>>319893515
I'm talking about the OP specifically though, fellow retard, who either constantly has this shit on his screen or just turned it on to take the screenshot.
>>319887135
The Lorenzo Artifact is OP.
Protip: It scales with the Nuclear Physicist and the Explosive perks.
>>319893807
Okay? So what's the problem then? You can still turn that off as well, that doesn't ruin your immersion constantly either. It's still not an advantage you dipshit. And nothing indicates that it's on always for him either.
>No more Pancor Jackhammers or H&K CAWS because Bethesda thinks time stopped in the 50s in Fallout

Why is /v/ so retarded? Why? Do you enjoy being retarded?
>>319893807
>>319893934
Also, you did not mention you were talking about the OP specifically. Pro-tip, people can't read minds over the internet.
>>319893958
>Sunset Sarsaparilla was made in 1918
>b-but the timeline split in the 50's!
Bethesda really went overboard with the 50's stuff to the point of it being obnoxious.
>>319893958
>Pancor Jackhammers
I REMEMBER THIS FROM SOMETHING AND ITS NOT FALLOUT
Project IGI maybe, either way awesome weapon

If you actually care about that shit you are legitimately subhuman.

Here is my first post >>319889494
How is it not obvious that I'm talking about the OP specifically? It's not my fault the argument devolved to a debate about the advantages of having live feedback on your cpu temperature, I just wanted to call OP a faggot for his shitty screenshot.
>>319894159
Kill yourself.
>>319894949
You have to actually be retarded to care about something as stupid as immersion.
It's probably the stupidest concept in videogames, and videogames have a lot of stupid concepts.
>>319895231
You have to be a multiplayer braindead moba loving faggot for thinking immersion is not important in a game, go play Demon's Souls and tell me immersion was not fucking important. Or tell me Demon's Souls is trash so I can be sure that I'm talking to an actual, literal Downe's syndrome retard fuck.
Guys how big is Fo4's map compared to Fo3? Is it worth buying at all in its current state? Also was planning on picking up an xbone soon enough just to play it, should I wait a bit till the fallout fever dies down?
>>319893556
The optimization is fucked like every Bethesda game.

>How is it not obvious that I'm talking about the OP specifically?
In that post, or the subsequent posts? Since those are two different things, as admitted by you.
But for that post? Seems to me that you're talking in general. As in, what is the purpose of this in general. Not why he's doing it specifically. You didn't even say that it was merely about that screenshot, but instead you were posting about using that software ever.
For the subsequent posts? It's pretty clear that it's actually not, considering that you're posting about shit like "people", or general questions like "one legit reason".

I call bullshit.
I would believe you if you said only one or another.
>>319900097
Would you believe that I was everywhere and did everything but in 175 hours?
>>319896131
Map is probably Skyrim size but it has plenty more locations so it's much denser and better designed than Fallout 3.
also...
>picking up an xbone soon enough just to play it
What the fuck man. Play it on PC. If you gonna buy a console, at least buy something that gives you exclusive library for fuck sake. And to add, the game is full of bugs on consoles, PC had a much more clean release.

PC is pretty alien to me, no idea how to swap out graphic cards or what ever. Honestly its as if ur asking me why don't I just build a car instead of buying one. I've no clue man and xbox has been a dependable console.
>>319900097
i did every single quest and discovered every location even the hidden ones that are unmarked in 100 hours with fucking around for ages, could have done it within 50 hours if I tried only thing I havent done is get a settlement to 100 happiness and I cba.

One thing I noticed is that Kojima seems to do the opposite of this. Starting in MGS2, he uses a lot of flat/matte surfaces and everything looks a lot more realistic for some reason.
>>319903528
Research the parts you want and pay someone to build it for you. Put some effort into it. It's not rocket science.
I was serious about how buggy this game is on consoles. You'll have plenty of better time playing this on PC, i already put some mods in and my experience increased dramatically. After the modtools release, the sky is the limit. You have been warned.
>>319902078
I think it's more that they're so blatantly only in the game because it was designed to be skyrim with guns
