Bloodborne
Only game I played this year that felt "complete". Everything just clicked. It felt like it knew exactly what it wanted to be and what it wanted to do, moreso than even Souls.

Easily Splatoon. Literally a breath of fresh air for shooters and pretty much all AA or AAA releases. It was new, different but familiar and they literally nailed 9/10 things.
Biggest complaints is the inability to switch loadouts in game and the controls are a bit finnicky, but other than that, it's te best by a longshot.

Oh yeah ok fair enough, but the networking is fucking impressive as shit. I've seen it lag at max 5 times and I honestly don't know what wizardry is keeping the ink updated in what feels like real time.
Still, it's a much better game than the rest of the list.

MH4U is easily my GOTY, put in over 300 hours and had a wild time. Getting X soon, expectations are high.

Not really. Most of the missions are highly repetitive, the openworld feels extremely sparse and tacked on, there's a shitload of grinding to unlock the fun equipment, the boss fights are shit, and now its weighed down by a load of invasive microtransactions and a near-forced online component.
The gameplay is fun but its not nearly enough to justify all the bullshit.

MGSV is still a good game with moments of brilliance. The reason people dislike the game is because the trailers made it look like the second coming of christ. So naturally people were dissapointed.
It's even better if you don't really have any emotional investment in the franchise.
