Modern, tessellated light shafts, dynamic shadows and lighting, heavy motion blur, DOF and heat effects, layers over layers of filters and an incredible amount of assets without any(!) loading screens at all. When in Fallout 4 you have two minutes loading times when you enter a small room with a bed and a chair.

The Wii U got 4 notable titles this year, sure, the Wii U is a good investment for the general consumer if they're interested in every single game, but for a console to be successful it needs variety, and that variety comes in the form of multiplats.

I don't get it. Why do Nintendo fans always shit on games like Fallout 4 and Assassin's Creed for having empty open worlds, and then praise XCX?
I mean, it's a good game, but it has just one city and basically behaves like an MMO without dungeons. It's pretty, sure, but the world is so fucking hollow. All you do is fight and loot. Fallout 4 is repetitive, but at least it "tries" to be an actual RPG. AC is bad, but at least there are different collectibles and populated regions. XCX is just a big map with monsters in it.

Speaking of, Xenoblade rarely drops below 30 which is great for such a large detailed world.
They could have made the graphics look even better and have it run on 14 frames per second, but this didn't come out on the ps4 thank god

Xenoblade isn't generic shit, though. GTA just has this generic shit world without ANYTHING, fucking ANY fucking THING to do or see in it. There is this city and in the north there is this forest with the five buildings, between there is a desert that has no content at all. Reused assets everywhere. GTA V also doesn't have all those things I mentioned, especially not tessellated light shafts. Not even sure if it has those on PC, never noticed any.
Don't compare realistic open worlds with fantasy open worlds.

The only game that does open world right. No loading times, not generic shit, unique assets everywhere, hidden stuff and caves are actually hidden and not seen on the map like in Skyrim, Fallout or Witcher. Jumping doesn't feel awkward and you can run forever. Not to mention fly.

The open world is completely fucking static, the came suffers from continuous pop-ins, it blatantly tries to compensate by using excessive lod and draw distance, its textures, character models and color palette is literal garbage PS2 tier. The environment is also completely un-interactable and requires a day one 20 gig optimization patch just to run semi-smoothly on the outdated hardware.
The fact is the Japs were right, its a fucking mediocre game american nintendo kids will act like is the holy grail of video games, everything from story development, level pacing, character interactions and dialogue is borderline garbage tier. Accompanied by terrible implementation link park tier sound track, Treehouse's extensive babbyfication of the game and the literal offline MMO tier combat, fetch quests x infinity, you're just completely overrating the game.

It's basically wiiU's Killzone Shadow Fall. It looks beautiful with exceptions with X, the main campign is mediocre, the gameplay is a rehash and the only real difference being killzone isn't overrated where as X is.
