Is this any good
>>319856692
No.
>>319856738
Better Bluetooth headset with a mic?
Really fucking doubt it even if Sony do make some of the best headphones in the professional business.
With the surroundsound on, its actually okey. Compared to a wired headset with the same pricetag, its garbage. I use it mostly to chat in Rocket league. Batterylife is surprisingly good too.
phillips SHP9500 and pair it with vmoda boom mic for gaming headset. It's also a damn good set of cans.
>>319856692
you don't really need headphones
they make you look dumb and they are unnecesseary
Get anything that isn't branded by playstation or xbone.
What is your price range?
>>319856692
Get a Kingston HyperX Cloud. It's comfy.
>>319856886
Before you say it, this does have a mic.
who /akg/ here?
>mfw the cat chewed through the cord
Are ATH-M50X any good?
>>319857269
I need blutooth. No more than $150
>fell for the meem headphones
My $30 Sennheiser cans were better and comfier.
>>319856692
Absolutely not! They are fucking horrible.
The plastic is brittle and broke within months and that's with never dropping it. I care for my items. The hinges that fold break off as well. The mic quality sounds like you're in a tunnel. The headphone quality is the only thing it has going for it. That and the USB wireless shit making it work on your PC as well, but with the PS4 only having 2 USB ports. Eh!
Overall. Do not get it. Garbage. I have electric tape holding mine in place. Will probably go buy a better headset this holiday season with sales but the question is, which one?
>>319857721
>wires
That's the thing l want to avoid, though.
>>319856692
They are good
Should have bought those 100 bucks seinheiser on black Friday, those were a steal
>>319856692
Got mine last christmas, I take care of my shit unlike >>319857861, still in perfect condition and I even carried them around in my bag for months as dedicated headphones. Sound is good, Wireless works good for both PC and PS4, Microphone is very meh. I stream a lot with it and it actually sounds better if you plug it in through the cable than wireless. It's got a lot of features that are nice like sound mixing, sidetone and so forth; so it's a decent sub-100$ headset that's wireless.
>>319856964
Yeah, only reason I was considering it is for chat. I need bluetooth because my stick doesn't have a headphone port.
Yeah man it lasts pretty long too and the surround sound is good. Best part you can adjust chat volume for those loud fucks
Go for Logitech G930.
>>319857607
get philips its cheap
Plantronics BackBeat PRO. $150 on Amazon.
Any /v/ approved 15 headsets with a mic that is ps4 compatible?
>>319859092
Plantronics will always be a great fucking headset brand.
>>319857721
what headphones are those?
>>319859248
ATH-M50x
>>319859248
Audiotechnica ATH-M50x. They're extremely popular because they sound good for their price range, but many people praise them too much because it's usually their first headphones that aren't cheap apple earbuds or skullcandies. Even though, they don't sound terrible, they're just overrated.
I just got these on monday for $40, they're a fucking godsend.
The only problem is the cable that comes with it is short as fuck (like a foot long) but the battery life, comfy feeling and sound quality are fantastic.
>>319857441
seriously, fuck cats. Mine always goes for the most expensive object and blows the wires the fuck out
$50 MDR-V6
>>319860465
OP said he need bluetooth and a mic
>>319860465
>$50
Where? Amazon has them for $65
>>319856692
the hinges are plastic and break easily, on my second pair
I've got AD700s.
They're really comfy, even 5 years or so after I bought them, but my main issue is the fucking cable. They used some cheap plastic that degrades in contact with skin oil, so after using them for 6 months or so, the first few feet of cable seize up and become rigid as fuck.
>>319856692
the 20th anniversary edition are so much awesome looks-wise, I don't really know about the quality of the sound or any other things but just the look of them remind me of my childhood when I used to play on my playstation 1 slim, so nostalgic
>>319856692
i was high and masturbating one time and i reached for it with my left hand and somehow it snapped, but i didn't care and it was dangling from one of my ears. then i came. i guess they arnet that good.
>>319857378
Me. I use some $3 mic that clips on to my shirt and it works fine. My friend's headset with built in mic? Constant feedback.
Fucking hate that nigger.
1. Take headphones from your headphone stand
2.Wear them
3. ?????
4. Put them back when you are done gaming
Maybe you people have some rage issues or just very shitty pair of headphones. Mine are fine. Even the fake leather pads look like brand new. Then again I don't have greasy long hair.
Op they are cheap, they look cheap and are light weight but they are comfy as fuck. I get complimented about mic quality all the time. Maybe cause I don't have mouth full of Doritos. The bass is laughable specially if you want to use them for music and some dubstep or idk. The buttons are good quality and you can pretty much adjust them however you like. Some games even come with recommended headphones settings.
If you are ape don't buy these. But if you are casual games get em.
>>319862083
Seems promising. Again, I just need bluetooth + mic. Average sound quality will due and these are slightly above average from what I hear so that's just a bonus.
mine lasted a year until one of the hinges snapped because it was made of cheap fucking plastic
A lot of people say that gaming headsets arent very good, and they're right. I'm not saying you should get yourself headphones and a boom mic like some people who enjoy being entangled by cables, just dont buy the expensive headsets because the level of quality hits the ceiling around the $60 mark
>>319862238
If only cable ties existed.
An actual surround sound speaker setup (even 5.1) sounds way better than headphones to me
>>319857298
Holy shit these look nice and they're 100 dollars off right now.
>>319862206
For gaming they are very good. I had pair of Sony Pulse which are more expensive but I really didn't notice any major difference. Pulse's feel and look more solid and are much louder but if you use them on max volume you are going to be deaf very soon. I also noticed the louder you use them the shittier the battery life gets but that's the thing with all bluetooth headphones.
>>319862206
>I just need bluetooth + mic
Hate to break it to ya but these things arent bluetooth, they use a dongle
>>319862317
>cable ties for a goddam sound/mic setup
nothx
>>319857861

That's the reason I don't let them into my bedroom. They have free reign of the rest of my apartment, but I don't let them in my room.
So of course, they hide off to the side when they hear me about to open the bedroom door and immediately bolt in when I do.
>>319860862
Black Friday deal
>Everyone calls your headphones a meem
>>319864581
they are. why the fuck would you wear closed headphones at home
Fuck mics. I don't want to talk to people anyway
>>319864581
>closed headphones for vidya gaem
GF picked these up for me for my bday, I'm shocked at how amazing they are. Wireless 7.1 Surround
>inb4 Skullcandy is shit
They are developed by the same team who makes Astros, so the quality is pretty damn impressive for the price. $150
How about a recommendation for speakers? I'm very satisfied with my no-headset headphones (Phillips TR 55LX), because I don't play online shit.
But I would love to listen to some good quality loud music and gaming around me from time to time.
Stereo would suffice, I think.
>>319857378
>AKG

into the trash
you think they sound good because you know no better.
>>319865824
im missing the conflict here
i bought the white one just because i wanted the white ps4/vita/headset combo
its gets very sweaty after extended use, like it really makes your ears hot, not comfortable, like if there was a replace the earmuffs i would do it, i use hd598's for my pc, but i like the wireless headset thing for ps4, no wires and shit
>>319865735
>$150
>for a shitty gayman headset with MUH SURROUND SOUND
>>319865929
My fucking god /v/'s disdain for anything popular even goes into its choice of hardware. why do i keep going on this board.
ayyy
Here's some tips
>If it says "gamer/etc." anywhere on it, or even appears to be merely associated with "gaming/etc.", put it in the trash
>If it's wireless, put it in the trash
>If it touts some horseshit """""surround sound""""" le 7.1 meme, put it in the trash
>If it has a microphone attached to it, put it in the trash
That should get you started.
>>319866041
>/v/ is one person
>i am so autistic i cant deal with anybody stating something that disagrees with my opinions
kek, i bet you get mad when people dont like bethesda games
>>319866041

>>319866073
>"""""surround sound"""""
>using multiple quotation marks like an idiot

That's general 4chan though. /o/ hates cars, /tv/ hates anything on a screenand itself, /v/ hates games....
>>319865989
>>319865989
oh also the main reason i got it was to see what a difference the thing makes with the headset equalizer software for games
basically until dawn was made specifically for that setup
>tfw you see people using gaming headsets as headphones
>>319866065
I'm also going to try to get custom pink shields that say "I <3 DICKS" just because.
>best gaymen hedset coming though
spend anymore than than 100 bucks on a gaming headset and you are retarded
you pay for convenience for a mic
these sound decent though.
>any more than this just get proper cans
>>319857548
i use the ath-m50. it's alright for games, better for music. in game, sounds can be a little difficult to distinguish sometimes when there's a lot going on. they're closed back, so your ears can get warm after a while. they also start to hurt my ears if i wear them for several hours, and i have to readjust them.
>>319866569
>spend anymore than than 100 bucks on a gaming headset and you are retarded
Spend any amount of money on a gaming headset and you are retarded.
>>319864695
why would anyone use anything other than high-end speakers at home.
>>319865789
No one knows their Hi-Fi systems? Where else to ask?
>>319866964
Because headphones are demonstrably better?
>>319866378
On the go I use Skullcandy Smokin Buds 2.
I wouldn't carry anything expensive around, and these aren't too bad for the money. They fit very comfortably in the ears and have a surprisingly clear sound and bass.
Skullcandy stuff wears pretty decently for budget. People shit on them but vs apple and beats, they are much better. I used to carry lowriders around when i used to travel on the bus a lot (because the early skullcandy buds were pretty shitty) and they'd last about a year of constant use before the cable would wear out.
I bought some kitsound earphones and they broke within a couple of weeks. I was pretty pissed.
(Especially when their wireless speakers aren't too bad)
I use VModa M100s with the Mic attachment.
>>319867346
if you have hearing problems, i guess they can help.
>>319864695
>the fuck would you wear closed headphones at home
Noise ? people who have a family or live next to a road, loud computer, a preference.
Any of those good reason ?
>>319864695
Isolation. I live close to a freeway, kids can be outside as well. HD280 Pros or DT 770s isolate the noise very well.
>>319867585
Oh, I mean I've seen people walking around with razer shit plugged into their phones
>>319856692

For anyone wanting super good quality yet cheap earbuds, Soundmagic E10's. Things are durable as fuck and sound incredible for their price.

>>319869510
>beyerdynamic
Enjoy your shit placebophones faggot. Beyerdynamic is trash and make headphones with zero soundstage or range.
I use this because I needed phones that didn't have cable and I wanted to be able to talk wherever I go at my place.
No I use it solely for games while VOIPing
I don't use the shitty 7.1.
I have the cheap Koss PortPro and DALI Zensor if I want to have something better when listening to my music.
>>319869595
(You)
why do i subject myself to this torture every goddamn time?
No Regrets reporting in.
Is there much in the way of wireless headsets a PS4 even supports? Have had what OP posted for nine months, but a broken hinge (taped together currently) and barely functional mute button later, I need something better.
Might just grab a good pair of normal headphones for now to plug into the controller, but it doesn't match the convenience of something I can use for 5-6 hours wire-free at a time, and also charge while using if I have to.
V-Moda Crossfade LP2 shits on most of the competition.
>>319857298
I can vouch for these

>>319865969
Because most of these headsets aren't 7.1 surround sound, they're virtual 7.1 surround sound. They emulate it, they don't actually have multiple speakers in the headset to play audio from multiple angles.
And here I am still loafing about with my G930. If only the drivers for it weren't so god awful, because man are they comfy as fuck.
