Why doesn't /v/ ever discuss sports games?
>he doesn't main the Bucks
It's like you can't even defense

Just talk about it on /sp/ bruh. Aside from a few that play Fifa, most anons here just aren't into the genre
Because most of them are just the same thing year after year, and most of the unique sports games stopped being made before 2003.

trust me, I've tried. All they do is constantly say "hurr why play something you can do outside?" and complain about each game being the same.

Not saying they all are, but the last one that broke any kind of mold was a basic remake of NBA Jam on the Wii almost 4 or 5 years ago.
What happened to over-the-top sports?

they stopped making them because they didn't sell. Gamers hate sports games, they're usually two completely different fanbases with sports game fans only playing sports games and regular gamers not playing sports games at all.

Kids who vidya enough to be on /v/ likely don't play, or rather can't play, sports. Casuals who are well adjusted in society do instead.
Eugene who got bullied by jocks and sat in the corner of the lunchroom playing FF on his gameboy probably doesn't even know who Stephen Curry or Odell Beckham are.

They're fun, but only so much. Rather buy the yearly 2k than a gimmick game. That genre's best chance is being a minigame, or even DLC to sports sims.
Literally my most played game

Should be taken down for false advertising
