It's a bad game, a clusterfuck of story and characterization that isn't very well done by any aspect, but which attempts to compensate for its weaknesses by adding in excessive shipping faggotry and DETERMINATION. The normal anon can see this as the shit it is, and may enjoy it, hate it or be indifferent to it, but all the while recognizing that the game itself, regardless of their opinion, is plain bad.
However, these very aspects that try to smear over the shit of its core make it a breeding ground for aspie, unsociable underageb& faggots who engage in every kind of faggotry both online and in the real world. The superpowered characters all trying their hardest to look cool, the lelrandumb Temmies, peculiar, colorful puzzles, the whole bad pun faggotry and everything about the Undertale world fuels their escapist fantasies, while the pity-party character backgrounds, emphasis on pacifism, and overall preachiness of the series make it fit just right with the mary-sueish drives of your average preteen and his sense of unwarranted self-importance towards the world. Exactly the kind of shit that makes little kiddies and underageb& retards eat this shit right the fuck up.
Undertale is basically THE game to attract the most hated neo-Homestuck fanbase known to /v/, which is why, regardless of individual opinions, it is the responsibility of every anon to troll the fuck out of this game and everyone who likes it, and ensure that no Undertale threads ever encourage the newfriends to show their faces here.

It's not nearly as good as the classic Sonic games. The physics are wonky and can kill your momentum for no reason at times, and the game added an unnecessary combat mechanic that is kind of shitty. Valkyria Chronichles had so much shit in it. For example characters had their silly cover bonus active despite the attacker being on the same side of the cover.
Bioshock infinite was an average shooter with pretty visuals and an alright story.
Rising had some boring ass environments and i never found the combat to be all that fun.

Monsters are fundamentally different from humans.
Humans are "mostly water", monsters are "mostly magic".
Humans are much stronger than monsters so it seems like they can handle determination.
When Alphys injected the monsters with determination they started melting and merging with others, so I guess if you have enough monster mass around they can keep some determination.
