Hows everyone liking Medieval 3?
It's good so far.
The game runs inexplicably badly on my i5 3570k (4.5ghz) and 970 though. Talking 30 fps on the campaign map.

I am surprised by the lack of CTD, usually with Total War games its insane for the first month of two
>enjoy Rome 2 for the setting but not the gameplay
>enjoy Attila for the gameplay but not the setting
>>319754216
>hate them both because of everything
>>319755254
>"I haven't actually played Attila but I'll hate on it to fit it on /v/"
>>319755254
/v/ hate train/not played it:The post

CA drones are the worst, I swear.
Say one bad thing about Total War and you faggot sperg out until the end of days.
SHEDDING THE BLOOD OFFRANKISHMEN
>>319755739
>Say one bad thing
You haven't actually argued any criticism of Attila, you're just memeing like a tard.
>>319752663
>inexplicably
>970 with 3.5 GB
You should have gotten a R9 390 with 8 GB instead for the same money.
>>319755739
>Say one bad thing about Total War
>hate them both because of everything
nice
>>319755859
>d-don't insult my p-precious game
you're pathetic
>>319755739
>hate them both because of everything
You sound like a paradox drone
>>319755868
Its not the 970, the game hardly uses any vram
>>319755972
wanting something more than "ebin bad all aldaldoals" is not pathetic.
>>319752554
Did attila even fight in any battles?
>>319755859

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA YOU INSULTED CA WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Literally children.
>>319755750
Don't, Anon.He will be missed dearly.
>>319756610
CA sucks just like you :)
So is it actually better than RomeII or just a reskin?
>>319756959
much better, I like rome 2 a lot, but atilla does everything better and the migrating factions are so fun.
>>319752554
Lacks units, and too restrictive on the number of armies you can sustain as well as the number of armies the enemy uses.
It still has the same issue Rome 2/Attila has where 99% of fights are in settlements
>>319752554
>$15 DLC
>promises dozens of new units
>every faction has the same three units, but they renamed them and counted them as different
the only think new about this is the ui, which should have been a free patch
>>319754216
>Rome 2 is shit
>they release the Emperor Edition which fixes pretty much nothing
>a month later or so they release Attila which fixes most of Rome 2's issues
A bunch of incompetent faggots.
>>319757319
What is Napoleon and Empire Total war. Business as usual in the Total War franchise.
>>319757429
Is Napoleon really better?
Empire was such a disappointment.
>>319756610
CA business practices suck dick, their games are fun
CA is far from my favorite dev but you are just a big fucking baby who never even played their games
It's still fucked because the auto resolve is more efficient than actually playing the battles.
>>319757497
Its Empire the "lol we fixed everything" edition.
>>319757535
That hasn't been true in any Total War game unless you are terrible at the battles.
Sir Dan sure looks different
>>319757562
Did it fix diplomacy and the lack of everything?
>>319757535
>fight one understrength unit with autoresolve
>lol you lost 50 dudes from each unit
Autoresolve was always a joke
>>319757497
It's much more polished. Unfortunately that comes at a cost of far more focused time scale and campaign (just Europe): you won't have 1 province France but on the other hand, I think the total number of provinces is like 1/3rds and the tech-tree is pretty much just a sub-section of Empire's.
>>319757640
better interface, better AI, better campaigns, better music. better graphics. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJA5mSK53YI
>>319757583
It has nothing to do with how well you play the battles.
You can use a stack of your cheapest, shittiest units to auto resolve a win for a fraction of the cost of a balanced, professional army.
In Medieval II this simply wouldn't have been possible because quality units would trash your stack of shit in the auto resolve.
This thread is about the age of charlemagne dlc, not the original Attila
everyone missed the point
>>319757659
It should be a trade off between saving the effort of fighting a battle and taking more casualties as a result though. Not a straight up better option.
>>319756959
Attila is a mechanical improvement in every conceivable way over Rome 2which is good you faggots, and an overall step in the right direction for the franchise.
>play as Vikings
>Hey! Go sack 5 settlements in England to get rid of this horrible debuff
>go to do it
>suddenly don't realise when and where the mission considers England to start and end
>Kingdom of York has stuff that's inside Scotland on the map
>end up getting pushed back anyway into Scotland
>end up not completing mission cause it seems as it has to be literally England on the map and not further despite it not giving me the fucking clue where they consider England to cut off
Fuck you.
>>319757504
Actually, sEGA makes the decisons, not CA. CA is owned by SEGA.
CA don't decide when game is released or the DLC.
SEGA should get all your hate, CA just got bought by a shitty company.
