I've uninstalled all my PC games and put my Wii U into storage. My long-term plan is to wean myself off /v/ and podcasts like Giant Bomb.

I also don't understand why people who are really adamant about being part of their community and part of society, think they are being affected by some guy who just lives in his mom's basement and plays video games or whatever. This would be the true reason for getting a job. Having money is a motivator for some people; they derive pleasure from having material possessions. But not everybody has to be like that, nor can everybody be like that. Nor SHOULD everyone be like that. There needs to be a balance of different people with different types of goals. Frankly, I see it as sort of a womanly thing, when someone wants a lot of money and material possessions. I don't see how that could be a proper motivation for a man; a reason to wake up in the morning. Guys typically don't want to buy cute little worthless knick-knacks in the same way women do. The problem I have with this, is that it implies that I will do some sort of great things. Like for example, one thing I use a lot would be my computer. But I know nothing about engineering, I know nothing about programming, etc.; I couldn't produce something of that quality and significance for others to use. I just don't have it in me. Realistically, not everyone can contribute something of great value to society. And then this begs the question - Why would that make other people happy, to have me working at McDonalds or something? I've tried the DK2 so I'm well aware of what it's capable of. I still think it's going to be popular. I love how it's possible to free up the right-analog stick for other things now that the camera can be moved with one's head. Also the stereoscopic 3D combined with the relatively wide FOV creates a nice feeling.
The only thing I really feel that needs to improve is to further widen the FOV till you can't even see the edges at all, that would be cool.
100% sure that even if I could do it I would just spend the time watching every single movie or tv show possible.

Absolutely nothing compares to simracing for that genuine feel, not even competitive FPS. Racing against other humans is exhilarating, and it's always awesome to learn a new way to corner to shave down that laptime. On top of that, simracing uses and builds real-life skills.
