Underrail is not Undertale.
Underrail is a CRPG, basically mix of Avernum and Fallout.

As in winning the game and finishing quests through dialogue? Not particularly. You've got typical skills in persuasion, intimidate and mercantile that can be used in dialogue but it's not a major focus of the game.

Incredible, and I think it is the game's main strength. You can head out into the metro/caverns/tunnels and just roam around finding cool shit and killing monsters and the atmosphere is great.

Also how are the effects? That fire in the trailer looked really out of place / cartoony. Is the game gory at all? Reminds me of good old Fallout 1 and 2 and I loved those games.

Yes, saves apparently won't carry over. This has been shitting me because I was playing it a month or two ago when I found out and have been hanging out for release since.

I'd wait a week. All the early areas (SGS, Junkyard, early caverns) got reworked for final release, had quests adjusted and look much better now.
