Is the female route worth playing through?
I've already played through FES twice.
Same shit but you get some new social links but lose a couple of old ones and a some of dialogues change to fit the female protagonist.
Worth going through if you want to play P3 again.
Really wish it had third person walking around.
Made me feel like a girl.

FES is a major upgrade in world immersion. Seriously watch a bit of an LP. So much more makes sense in various scenes just from watching what the character models are doing alone. Plus you get to walk around in third person.
However, I will argue tooth and nail that P3P has a far far FAR more enjoyable combat portion of the game. FES lets you choose a weapon type for the protag, seek out and unlock special combo spells, and does not allow control of any characters other than the MC. To have another character heal or change gear you have to talk to them. There is no main menu interaction with them.
Also FES has a bugged combat menu whose controls can not be reversed by the config menu setting which is a huge peeve of mine.

Basically, the cutscenes are less like a visual novel, and all the game takes place in third-person 3D.
Despite what /v/ likes to claim, you're really not missing out on very much. P3P has its own advantages in gameplay and pace, so don't feel as though you wasted your time on the inferior version.

Totally, and the removal of the scenarios is a blessing if you are a completionist it means less stuff to load and wait the sections of Reset/Reload to keep you Tired/Sickness to the maximun amount of time during your One Run max S Link s FAR more doable.
The new stuff is fun (specially trolling SEES people with your special costumes).
But well it's still sucks not being able to switch weapons, and well as they limited UMD space they could at least do that 3D style of cinematic when you summon Thanatos for impactful/funny scenes.

You can fuck everything without worries on Portable.
The FeMC music is better, the answer does not matter, walking around just speeds shit up (so good during slow parts), and being able to control your characters should have been a thing from square one. This is a turn based RPG after all. Just start on a higher difficulty if you think it'll be too easy.
