From my experience, its fun with friends. Online feels good, and isnt that laggy. They have a stage option to remove hazards while keeping the layout which is nice.
My main gripe against the game is it feels like a lesser Smash 64. Less character than 64, and the stages are only alright. I would say get it if its on a sale, but for now just pirate it if you want to try it out.

There is a character where you can tag them, then any time you can hold your up+special recovery and warp directly to them. Does that count?
