I should probably pick this game up but that extended battle in chapter 8 is really pissing me off. The harbingers walk as close as they can to the angels and aggro's the robed bitch who will then one shot and auto kill any of my characters who even come close.

I'm still in chapter X of my first playthrough, and I just can't get over the fact the Harbingers are basically getting away with murder. You've obviously supposed to be sympathetic to their cause, but the game does an incredibly poor job accomplishing that. If it wasn't for Hilda's phenomenal design she'd be hanging from a tree for her bullshit.
That said, I'm still enjoying the game. I just wish they'd give you more free time in the first playthrough, I'm going to end up maxing three characters (Popo, Sakuya, and Hilda) on my first try.

you get 3 angle orbs in the game, but one of them comes from maxing the orb job. throw one on sakuya for sure
you get 2 followup orbs and one of them comes from stealing from the boss in the chapter Hilda joins. i'd throw one on hilda for sure
drain and absorb orbs are only worth it at lvl 3. give anyone with counter drain and absorb while your casters and backliners can get by with just absorb
if you get nonoka's affection to the 3rd level her passives let her always activate status and debuff orbs. so throw the stop or delay, sickness and burn orbs on her. note that disable immunity doesn't block delay and that you can't stack burn and poison.
