I never watched any of the old ones so last year was my first introduction to speed running. It seemed fun enough, but that could be because I was in the live threads on /v/ as it happened. I don't think it would be nearly as fun if I had just watched it on my own on youtube.

They're always the same, but you don't memorize these files like you do with older DDR meant for dancing. There's only so many patterns you can have and they just get ingrained into your fingers from playing a lot.
