Bloodborne is a solid 9/10 for real, easily one of the years best, if not the best. It would be a 10/10 if not for the performance and some nitpicky stuff.
I'm not just saying that because hurr PS4 exclusive, I'm saying it because it is legitmately a fantastic game. I have played every Souls games and this is the best one imo, everything it sets out to do it does extremely well. More original setting, better production values, improved combat, great bosses and enemies, great music, just a class act from beginning to end.
People joke about PS4 being an one game console and they're not really wrong, but it's a hell of a game that one game. The only thing I can really say comes close as competition this year is Witcher 3.

If I were to judge Bloodborne solely off of its first half, I'd give it a 9/10.
But honestly, once it switched over to lovecraft-esque monsters and landscapes, it felt like it lost the soul the first half of the game had. The settings were remarkably less interesting, the bosses were easier, and it just didn't feel complete.
The second half gets a 6/10 from me, but it drops the whole game to a 7 because it left a bad taste in my mouth. Lots of potential that was wasted with a mediocre second half.
