I honestly think SS could be a better game than SS2
But currently, even with mouselook, I can't play that game due to how tedious the controls feel. I'm sure if I indulge in it, I can accept it, but with SS remake coming soon, I won't spoil that.
I doubt new technology will be able to recreate this low-poly horror.

The controls are the only reason I couldn't finish the game at first. Maybe if I played it in 1994, but it was harder to do in 2011 (and I almost never let clunky old controls stop me from enjoying a game). So I stopped a little ways in and just played SS2. Shortly after I finished it, the mouselook mod came out and I actually had fun with the first game and finished it. Not sure which I like better. SS2 I guess, but I need to play them again, back to back. SS1 did have some pretty neat things.
