Anyhow, the worse fanbase is console gamers, Nintendo fans in particular, though the others are hardly exempt. There was a time when consoles utterly rekt PC. Nintendo used to be innovation central and a genuine pillar supporting the video game hobby.
All of that is inverted now. Now consoles are literally worse PCs. Nintendo actually stopped trying to even pretend to compete. I think the shift happened decisively during the 360/PS3 era. Now boards like /v/ are littered with faggots who legitimately believe that consoles, including Nintendo's fucking embarrassingly weak ones, are good for gaming. They'll argue despite all the glaring flaws and hardware weaknesses.
If you are one of these people, you're probably thinking of a list of games that somehow defends consoles. Fool, you think those good games on consoles wouldn't have been better if they weren't designed around shitty, obsolete hardware and hard to update software? Look at Dark Souls. Great game, sure. On PC it runs hundreds of times better.
Console gaming is going to die as this effect gets worse and worse. It may even die next generation if the next set is too pathetic compared to an equivalent priced PC.
