That being said, Nightdive's System Shock 1 1:1 remake looks pretty sweet given the screenies we've been shown. I have a lot more faith in them than the chucklefucks at otherside

I don't personally think they could fuck up much if they keep this level of graphical fidelity throughout, unless the voice acting is god awful or the combat is janky as fuck (its a fucking FPS not that hard)

Hopefully they have all the weapons and ammo types despite the redundancies. Made the original feel more authentic.

As long as I can bust a niggas head with a wrench I'll be having a good time. That screenshot looks slick as fuck though, mildly hyped but seeing what they did with that other game lowered my hype.
Wouldn't mind some new weapons though, as long as they're creative with them, I feel in SS2 they gave you the option for worm guns and the like way too late.

90% of the games don't cull objects and terrain that aren't in view.
So for example in the case of SS remake, it'd be processing every single object in the level despite the fact you're only in one room
Most devs do this because they can't write stable enough code that an object will do the same thing every time it spawns, so they load everything only once to minimize fuckups
