+World still looks great and is more cohesive than post cata
+Music is still fantastic
+Class quests
+Class trainers actually training you
-Spell ranks that you have to get every 6 levels
+Quest depth: You find a note that leads to an npc in a duengeon or across the world or vice versa
-Quest complexity: Everything is still kill 20 of these, magic wand, get x of these
+Quest dialogue feels like classic fantasy text
+Everyone looks like a lowbie. No level 12 priest in full dreadmist in a chauffeured motorcycle or giant corehound
-Every class plays worse. No exception and if you deny this you're a fucking idiot
-Heal downgrading
That's just up to level 15.
But to nostalus specfically:
+Almost completely Blizzlike, haven't found any issues with the servers so far
-Grossly overpopulated. Only 2 servers and is international meaning you're playing with EU and asia

+/- Situational itemization like plus shadow damage: Okay I don't know how to feel about this. It's pretty cool that I can get a piece that's better for affliction than destruction and would be useless for a mage. It works for depth and it's more intuitive than just straight spellpower.
-Fear is OP again in this build. I can light up mobs for almost the full duration in some cases but typically can get 4 seconds feared with full dots
-aggro range and dense camps making it hard to solo
+single mobs aren't pushovers and can wreck your shit fairly quickly if you don't do anything
-you can only get experience from quests and kills

On one hand you're right. Leveing is nothing like it was you're going to try to level with other characters on endgame mounts wearing a might headpiece, a glowing sword, and the UBRS shield at level 22. Overall the game is easier outside the designated "hard" content.
On the other hand you're being pedantic. Hard content is fucking brutal and there's no bullshit like missed taunts, one button rotations, bosses with only one mechanic and you can't pug it, you need 24 other friends.

Anyone who thought farming for a billion hours for resistance gear they could only use for certain bosses in a certain raid, the raid in question also taking a billion hours to complete, longer if you had some of the 40 people brought along half-assing things (which there almost always was some). Assuming of course you spent a billion hours getting attuned to the raid so you're allowed in at all in the first place. All so you can get boring gear for the one spec that you were allowed to play because the other two weren't raid viable at all, especially if you played a class with a healing spec and wanted to do anything other than heal.

What ultimately matters is WoW is a much better playing game now than what it was. All 3 of my warlocks specs play differently than the other and differently than any other class and all 3 are viable in every situation which is fantastic as a pure dps. Yeah I wish people now would have to do the quests to get the pets, infernals, mount and other minor class quests like I did but that's not going to make me want to PLAY vanilla again to do it or tell others to. The doom guard ritual was cool but the doom guard itself was fucking useless and the only thing it was good for was playing russian roulette
I remember how useless demonology was and now it's my favorite spec.
Its a shame WoW never had a middle ground between...

lol. WoW has always been super casual. Everquest was hard core for PvE. You could not have a career and play Everquest on any kind of cutting edge progression level. It was also impossible to level up solo for all but a few classes.
PvP was much more hardcore in Dark age of Camelot than vanilla WoW. If you didnt sack up and get out there your whole faction got fucked.

I got the hammer, which requires at least , 5 players in an area with elites. Almost like a not-instanced dungeon.
Same with the scholo key and the other shit. It made you more desirable than others even if you didn't have the best gear.
The worst thing about the new bs is the crossrealm shit. Sure you get way faster into dungeons, but there is no server community anymore.
