I like turn-based with action commands the most.
Real time with pausing and hotkey/cooldown combat is awful. Give me a good turn based system like Press Turn or an action RPG.

My all time favourite is Dungeon Master, which is real time, no pause. Fantastic game.

Yeah, its a great mod pack. Fixes up a bunch of issues with the game and adds some good new content. You can tell they've put a lot of effort into it over the years.

Tactics. I only wish there was at most 2 named NPCs in your party. I really enjoyed building my team but the game throws you all these powerful characters at the end and I'm too weak willed not to use them.

Pause means it's either worthless to pause and you can just steamroll everything or make it so required it often makes the game slower than turn-based
How do I get into ToEE?
I used to fucking love Morrowind and games like that when I was younger, but now I have a hard time paying enough attention to the game to figure out where to go without some map marker telling me where to go like a retard.
It's not that I hate reading, I love books, I just can't read if I find myself uninterested, my eyes glaze over, and the beginning quests in this game seem so generic.
